Experienced technical support provide their insights in answering this question :
A possibility could be the Charge Transfer Roller mount on the left side broke and it’s not lifting up to push the paper up to the cartridge drum. Take the cartridge out and push down on each end and see if they respond in the same way.

How to Identify and Fix Common printer Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced technical support :

A common cause of faded, faint printouts from your inkjet printer is dried ink particles causing a blockage in your printer. The printheads on an ink cartridge can be become blocked if the printer is not used for a period of time, so it is recommended to print a few pages each month to maintain the print quality.
Here are the most common causes of a printer printing faded text or images: Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings.
Faint, streaky or spotty prints are all common signs of a clog but a simple cleaning can usually get your HP ink cartridges working again. Printheads clog due to infrequent cartridge use. If you regularly go a few weeks without printing, your cartridges will eventually dry out and need to be replaced.
Usually a quick paper setting adjustment will clear up a ghosting issue right away. Run a cleaning – Most printers have a cleaning function built into the machine. Run this a couple of times to attempt to clear up the printing issue. Inspect the drum – Sometimes excess toner powder can stick to the drum.
This happens when the rollers or the transfer belt inside the printer get dirty or covered in excess dirt, ink or toner powder, and as the paper is moved through the printer the `tracks` are being left on the page. This is normally the case when the tracks on the page are located at either end.
Check the toner darkness settings.

Sometimes light print can be remedied by simply changing the toner darkness setting in the printer. To change the setting, go to MENU>>SETTINGS>>QUALITY MENU>>TONER DARKNESS. Increase the darkness and send a test print to see if that fixes the issue.

If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
Reasons why your HP printer has ink but won`t print

This may seem obvious, but it sometimes happens: first make sure your paper tray has paper in it. Misalignment, clogged printheads, faulty data communication or insufficient ink levels can also be sources of the problem.

In the [Advanced Settings] dialog box, select [List of Settings] [Toner Density] [Adjust] → click [Details]. Adjust the density for each color → click [OK].
Dirty Print Head

If you have not used your printer for a while, your print head may become clogged, which causes some part of your text to fade. It is a good practice to perform print head cleaning to restore the ink flow.

Print is light at the upper left
ANSWER : One thing it won’t be is the fuser. I can’t see it being limited to just the one corner, it would be all the way down the page if it were a printer problem. Could possibly be some dirt on the laser scanner mirrors. The transfer roller just pulls the paper down from the toner cartridge drum. Unless it was really dirty from built up toner, I can’t see it being the problem. You can wipe it off with a dry paper towel. Do not touch it with your fingers.

Rear Paper Feed Blocked On Left Side?
ANSWER : Most times it is something you can’t see, like a small torn scrap of paper. What you can try is to shove a file folder down the path the paper takes. That will push out any offending scrap without having to take the printer apart.
