An Er/04, Er/05, or Er/06 error message indicates a paper jam. Find and clear the printer of any jammed paper, or reset the printer if the printer has no jammed paper.
The error code E06 means Cover Open.
Connect the printer and it may automaticallt install the driver. If not go to the Devices and Printers folder, Add a Printer, choose the correct port, Next, Windows Update, (wait a few minutes for the list to repopulate), select HP for the manufacturer and the HP Laserjet 6P, Next.

E01 means drive communication error;E02 means motor abnormality;E05 means overcurrent protection;E06 means motor protection;E08 means sensor error. For these codes issues, please contact with our support for help.
The E6 error is normally related to the missing/incorrect reading of the signal position of the inclination motor and derives 99% from the motor tilt and problems in the connection because the motor board passes the signal directly to the console, without any modification.
Recommended action. Turn the printer off, wait 15 seconds and turn the printer back on (using the power switch located on the back of the printer). The error code should not appear again.

What repair needs to be done for a "50 needs repair" message on an HP Laserjet IIIP?
ANSWER : I don’t know what you mean by good toner cartridges. They haven’t been built in about 10 years, so if they are new OEMs in the box, they are guaranteed to fail. The 50 error on that printer is mostly a burned out fuser lamp. This site was sold, so as you can see, there are no more kits available.

ANSWER : Take out the toner cartridge and look at the drum. If you see the line, replace the cartridge. If you don’t, then you need to replace the fuser assembly.
