Look for jammed paper or debris inside the printer, and then use both hands to remove any that you find. Use both hands to remove any jammed paper or objects from the input bin. Align the cartridge with the tracks inside the printer, push in until firmly seated, and then close the toner access door.
An Er/04, Er/05, or Er/06 error message indicates a paper jam. Find and clear the printer of any jammed paper, or reset the printer if the printer has no jammed paper.
The printer is either low in toner, the density is set too low, or the Economode may be turned on. Remove the toner cartridge and shake it. This will redistribute the toner and often will temporarily solve the problem. However, this usually indicates it is time to install a new cartridge.
Error code E05
This error code may cause an orange light on your machine to blink 5 times and is caused by the print head not being installed at all or it may have been installed incorrectly.
Error Code 5 is a Windows error code that appears when the user does not have sufficient permission to access the requested file or location.
A 05:10 error on the front panel of the printer indicates a formatter card failure. This issue usually does not require on-site service, as the formatter card is a user-replaceable part. It is a simple fix. The card is located on the back side nearest the power cable plug.
Er/05 displays, the Attention light blinks, and the Paper light is on. Paper is jammed in the imaging drum area. Open the printer, remove the imaging drum, clear the jam with both hands, replace the imaging drum, and then close the printer. For more information, go to Er/04 or Er/05 Displays (Paper Jam).
On the device control panel, press Menu/Enter. Use the < or the > button to select Service, and then press Menu/Enter. Use the < or the > button to select Restore defaults, and then press Menu/Enter. The device automatically restarts.
Most printers will stop working when they`re out of paper, ink or toner, or if the unit detects an issue with the ink or toner cartridge. When this occurs, you might receive an error message or notice blinking green or amber lights on your printer.
Fix 5: Change User Account Control Settings
The User Account Control (UAC) may block you adding new program/software. Therefore, you should turn it off in order to avoid system error 5. Type UserAccountControlSettings into Windows search box. Select UserAccountControlSettings from the result or just hit Enter.
Recommended action. Turn the printer off, wait 15 seconds and turn the printer back on (using the power switch located on the back of the printer). The error code should not appear again.
This indicates a paper jam in the Input tray area. The Attention light blinks, the Paper light is on , and the control panel character display alternates between Er and 05. This indicates a paper jam in the Imaging drum area.
If Error 05 or Error 07 appears on LCD or there is an ADF PAPER JAM error message, the scanner might require service.
