Your printer can become misaligned if there is any paper stuck in the machine, print cartridges are clogged or dirty, improper installation of cartridges and using low quality cartridges. Additionally, a printer can become misaligned after the machine completes a large print job.
Press your printer`s Setup button. Go to System Setup. Choose Print Quality and then Calibrate Color. Choose Calibrate Now and press OK.
Perform an alignment
Open the HP Smart app, and then click the printer image. Click Print Quality Tools, and then select Align or Align Printheads. If prompted by the software or printer control panel to scan the Alignment Page, follow the instructions on the page to complete the alignment.
Remove the sheets of paper from the printer so that the printer does not start printing the alignment pages. Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON. Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer. Press and hold the printer`s power button for 15 seconds.

Right-click the printer icon on the taskbar, and then select the Print Head Alignment. Or access the printer software, click the Maintenance tab, and then click the Print Head Alignment button. The printer prints test patterns that you use to check the print head alignment.
Alignment errors are the count of the number of frames received that do not end with an even number of octets and have a bad Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC). This could indicate a cable problem or a faulty transmitter on the network equipment connected at the other end.
If your printouts become grainy or blurry, you notice misalignment of vertical lines, or you see dark or light horizontal bands, you may need to align the print head. You can align the print head automatically from the control panel or your computer, or align it manually from the control panel.

A printer`s heads, nozzles, and other components can become dirty or clogged, which could show up as white lines running across your page. Your printer may have a head-cleaning feature available through your device software located on your computer or from the control panel on the printer itself.
Correcting Paper Feed skew This is the most common cause for this issue. Check the paper pick rollers for each tray. Clean off the rollers with a dry cloth and try printing again. If cleaning the feed rollers does not correct the issue, see if the feed rollers are worn or dirty.
