Loading paper that is stuck together, frayed, curled or bent can cause a jam. Overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer can all result in a jammed printer.
A piece of paper stuck in the paper tray or inside the printer can create a paper jam. Paper jams can occur for a variety of reasons, such as overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray, or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer.
Dust, dirt, or debris: Not cleaning the HP Printer can also result in a paper jam error. So, if you find that no paper is stuck but a paper jam error showing, you must check for the dirt or dust on the device.
your pickup roller is dirty and the printer can`t grab a piece of paper. it will say paper jam when it does this. get a drop of dishsoap and clean the pickup roller of your printer with this. scrape at it with your fingernail to get the roller clean and wipe it off with a damp washcloth.
Common locations of paper jams in laser printer include paper input and output trays, the fuser, the toner cartridge, and any other place that paper comes into contact with a roller.
Updated: 02/07/2022 by Computer Hope. A paper jam is when paper or other printed material gets stuck or lodged in a printer and cannot eject. When this occurs, the printer does not function properly until the paper is manually removed.
If the paper is even slightly askew, the rollers will pick it up a little crooked, and — guess what — the crooked sheet will immediately get jammed. So even though there`s no paper stuck when you start printing, the loose paper guides are ensuring that a sheet gets jammed whenever the printer starts doing its thing.
During a print job, the printer stops feeding pages, and a Paper Jam error message displays on the printer control panel. This indicates that paper might be jammed inside the printer. note: Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper.
As with other tools, our laser systems require some maintenance to ensure it works optimally. For instance, failing to maintain the laser solution can cause overheating — which can be catastrophic.
Why is it important to clean a laser printer? Printing is vital to all businesses so ensuring your laser printer is thoroughly cleaned is crucial as it allows your machine to continue working efficiently. Cleaning a laser printer is easy with the correct equipment, however they are prone to dust and debris.
Jam is made from crushed or chopped fruits and sugar. Jams made from a mixture of fruits are usually called conserves, especially when they include citrus fruits, nuts, raisins, or coconut. Preserves are made of small, whole fruits or uniform-size pieces of fruits in a clear, thick, slightly jellied syrup.
That said, even though jams and jellies may provide some benefits, they`re high sugar products, and consuming too much sugar may lead to weight gain, cavities, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes ( 20 ).
Usually a quick paper setting adjustment will clear up a ghosting issue right away. Run a cleaning – Most printers have a cleaning function built into the machine. Run this a couple of times to attempt to clear up the printing issue. Inspect the drum – Sometimes excess toner powder can stick to the drum.
Lift the cover inside the paper path unit by its handle. Gently remove the jammed paper with both hands. Note: If paper is torn, be sure to remove all torn pieces.
Paper jams

A piece of paper stuck in the paper tray or inside the printer can create a paper jam. Paper jams can occur for a variety of reasons, such as overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray, or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer.

Step one: Perform a power reset

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait at least 15 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

The reset key is a single use key and once used cannot be used again. All EPSON printers have inbuilt counters that count up the number of pages a printer produces, the number of head cleans executed and various other attributes. Once a critical level is reached the printer will enter its service mode.
Turn the product on while you press and hold the Resume button for 10-20 seconds. The Attention light turns on. Release the Resume button. The Attention and Ready lights cycle while the product restores factory defaults.
All lasers generate heat as a by-product of the process inefficiencies so the room temperature is of a major concern. Overheating can cause a catastrophic and somewhat expensive failure of the laser. The effective removal and control of this heat is key to prolonged and reliable use.
Paper curl is caused by an excess amount of moisture in the paper. The first step to ensure less paper curl is to store your paper in a cool, dry area. By doing so, you will reduce the amount of moisture and humidity the paper is exposed to. The next step is to always fan the paper before placing in the machine.
A typical toner cartridge will produce anywhere between 2,500 and 4,000 pages, based on a coverage of 5% (roughly third of a page of double-spaced text). Dense pages filled with small font text or graphics will dramatically reduce this output and you may only get up to 1,000 pages per cartridge.
Numerous studies have shown that the toner used in laser printers contains hazardous compounds such as metallic nanoparticles and carcinogenic substances which are emitted into ambient air during the printing process and can cause various health issues.

Optional 250 Sheet Feeder Tray (Q5931A – Tray 3) Constantly "Jams"
ANSWER : You don’t say if the paper moves at all. That’s key in determining the cause. If it’s not moving, then try swapping the rollers with tray 2. If it is moving out of the tray, then that would indicate there is some obstruction it is hitting on its way out of the tray. Hard to troubleshoot remotely when one doesn’t have specific details since we can’t see what is occurring.

Paper tray 3
ANSWER : What usually happens in this instance is that the access flap to the left of the pickup roller pops up. This blocks the tray from opening. The only way to fix it is to look in from the back of the tray with a flashlight and get something thin and long, maybe a wooden ruler? Reach in and push down on the flap until it locks in place. If you’re not sure what I’m referring to, you can pull out and look at tray 2 for guidance.
