The noise can be caused by any one of the following: A piece of paper is stuck on one of the rollers inside the printer. A roller in the toner cartridge is squeaking. A roller on a paper feed option is squeaking.
The printer may be set up to use Quiet Print Mode. The engine speed gets reduced in this mode and it can make the printer whistle like this. If you know it`s own or aren`t sure, turning it off may get rid of it if it annoys you that much.
This noise can be due to any one of the following: A piece of paper, or other obstruction, is stuck somewhere inside the printer. One of the toner cartridges or photo developer units may be installed incorrectly or may be damaged. A door or cover may not be closed completely.
If your inkjet printer is randomly making noise when not in use, it is cleaning the printhead. Those noises are your printer performing some self-maintenance.
Sound absorbing materials like acoustic panels and soundproof foam are often the best tools for this. The frequency of the noise you`re trying to absorb will determine how thick your panels or foam need to be. Thin sound absorbers are all you need to absorb mid-to-high frequency noise (like human voices).
Cover bare walls and ceilings with something soft, so any voices, commotion, entering get absorbed. The sound-absorbing acoustic foam as an open-celled foam comes up as the best acoustic treatment. It attenuates airborne sound waves, reducing their amplitude, for noise reduction or noise control.
There are many reasons why a laptop fan may be making noise, including overheating, lack of cleanliness, hardware issues, or software issues.
The Print Spooler is software built into the Windows operating system that temporarily stores print jobs in the computer`s memory until the printer is ready to print them. In some circumstances you may need to stop and/or restart the service.
Impact printers function by creating a direct contact between the ink-ribbon and the paper. These printers are noisy, yet popular.
Whilst all printers will make a noise to some extent, the crown for the noisiest type of printer must go to the dot matrix printer.
Laser printers are not very noisy in operation. Compared to the thump-thump of an inkjet and the shriek of dot-matrix machines they are generally quiet. Larger printers do tend to have a couple of cooling fans and there will be the usual noises of pickup rollers, paper moving, cogs churning and clutches operating.
As you see, sound frequency is determined by the way in which sound waves oscillate whilst travelling to our ears, meaning that they alternate between compressing and stretching the medium, which in most cases is air.
Wax in the ear canal may prevent sound from travelling into the ear. The sound being forced back out of the ear results in the high-pitched whistle. The wax needs to be removed but it can be dangerous to do it yourself.
The most common cause for ringing is that your printer is trying to move too fast. When the printer suddenly changes direction, these quick movements will create additional force that can cause the lingering vibrations. If you feel that your printer may be moving too fast, try to reduce the printing speed.
Mice use vocals to express emotions and relay the location of food and shelter. The noise they make most frequently is a high-pitched squeak, almost like a singing chatter, but it can change in pitch and frequency depending on what they`re trying to communicate.

Hp laserjet 2420dn
ANSWER : I would suspect the fixing film has wear. You can prove the theory by doing a half-stop test. This stops the print before it enters the fixing film assembly. Load paper in the drop down MF tray in the front. Send a print job and when the tail end starts to enter, open the cartridge lid on top to stop it. Then remove the toner cartridge and look at the paper. If you see the marks, it is from the toner cartridge. If you don’t, it would be coming from the fixing film since the paper hasn’t entered it.
