Faulty power cords and connections are an uncommon but possible cause of a printer not turning on. Before suspecting a cord failure, ensure that there is power to the wall outlet and there are no conditions preventing the printer from turning on. Testing by substitution can confirm if a cord connection is the problem.
Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.
The fuse protects your printer from short circuits and power overload. It is placed between the power outlet and the switch on the left side of the printer. If your machine does not start after pressing the power switch, at first you should check if the power cable is connected to a power source.
The Print Spooler is software built into the Windows operating system that temporarily stores print jobs in the computer`s memory until the printer is ready to print them. In some circumstances you may need to stop and/or restart the service.
The reset key is a single use key and once used cannot be used again. All EPSON printers have inbuilt counters that count up the number of pages a printer produces, the number of head cleans executed and various other attributes. Once a critical level is reached the printer will enter its service mode.
These printers usually have a dedicated fuser unit, which fuses the toner in place. Hot fusing is used in dry printing processes such as electrostatic printing, laser printing, and xerography.
Some of the most common printer problems that most of us have experienced include paper jamming, slow printing, uneven printing, and wrong colour output. If you use your printer frequently, we know how annoying it can be to have persisting problems with the printer.
Turning the power ON/OFF while the print monitor screen is displayed may cause the printer driver to go off-line and make printing impossible. In this case, open the [Printers / Printers and Faxes / Devices and Printers] folder on the computer and check if your printer driver is shown as off-line.
If it does not turn on, reset the power module. With the power cord connected to the printer and a working wall outlet, turn on the printer. If the printer turns on, wait 2 hours, disconnect the power cable, and try using the printer with battery power only.

Printer will not power up
ANSWER : The switch is actually just a plastic piece that moves a metal rod that actuates the real switch in the back. I’ve seen where the rod pops out. Can you hear a click when you rock the switch back and forth? Otherwise, it would be a bad controller board. That is the large board at the bottom of the printer. Never seen one do that in that model.
