If you are using a USB connection, make sure that the cable is properly connected. If your printer is connected via wireless network, verify that the wireless connection is working. If all seems fine, restart the printer and try again. If the Konica printer is offline, the error can be caused by faulty printer drivers.
To check the printer name, select [Administrator Setting] – [Network Setting] – [NIC Setting] – [Bonjour Setting] of this machine. In the default setting, the contents enclosed in parentheses ( ) suffixed in [Bonjour Name] correspond to the low-order three bytes of the MAC address.
If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
Through Print Driver − on PC select: Start − Printers / faxes − Right click on Konica print icon − Properties − Ports Tab − Configure port − you should now be able to see IP Address.
1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper

Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.

Update Printer Drivers

Right-click on the Start button and click on Device Manager. 2. On Device Manager screen, expand Printers entry > right-click on your Printer and click on Update Driver option. Restart your computer and see if the Printer Icon is now visible.

Auto IP addresses always follow this pattern: 169.254. x.y, where x and y are any two numbers between 0 and 255. Unlike DHCP, Auto IP does not require a router or a separate server to assign an IP address. If a network is configured with IP addresses for a different network than 169.254.
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, click on your printer, and choose Manage > Printer Properties.
Open Command Prompt by pressing the Windows key and typing cmd. Type netstat -r. Press Enter. You will now be able to see a list of network devices connected to your computer and your printer`s IP.
Click “Start,” “Devices and Printers,” and select the printer. There should be an icon at the bottom of the window next to State, indicating that the unit is shared. If the printer isn`t shared, right-click it and select “Printer properties.” Click the “Sharing” tab and check the box next to “Share this printer.”
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
To reinstall the printer, select Add a printer or scanner and then select the name of the printer you want to add. If Windows doesn`t automatically find a new driver after the printer is added, look for one on the device manufacturer`s website and follow their installation instructions.
To change your printer IP address, type its current IP address into the address bar of a web browser. Then go to the Settings or Network page and change your printer`s network to a static/manual IP address. Finally, type in the new IP address.
To view detailed information for troubleshooting purposes, you can configure settings so that the error code is displayed simultaneously. In the administrator mode, select [Maintenance] – [Network Error Code Display Setting], and set [Error Code Display] to [ON] (Default: [OFF]).
That IP address just means you are not connected to your router in order to get a valid IP address. Suggest you reset the printer back to Network Defaults and run the Wireless Setup Wizard from the front panel to connect to your routers SSID with password.
The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has reserved 169.254. 0.0-169.254. 255.255 for Automatic Private IP Addressing. As a result, APIPA provides an address that is guaranteed not to conflict with routable addresses.
A network printer is any printer connected to a network, whether through Ethernet or Wi-Fi – the latter being the more contemporary option. Whereas a local printer would be cabled straight to the device that requires it, a network printer can be accessed by multiple devices simultaneously on the same network.
Network printers are connected to a network, such as a LAN or the internet, and can be accessed from any computer that is connected to that network. Local printers are connected directly to a single computer, and are not accessible from any other device.
Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default. If you don`t see the Set as default option, the Let Windows manage my default printer option may be selected.
Reset. Resetting the printer stops printing and clears the current print job received from the active interface. You may want to reset the printer when there is a problem with the print job itself and the printer cannot print successfully.
Open Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners (or run a quick access URI command: ms-settings:printers ); Select a printer you want to remove and click Remove Device; Confirm the printer removal.

Minolta Pageworks L printer
ANSWER : I’m not familiar with that model. I do have to say that 8 years in storage will have detrimental results. I have never seen any printer request a transfer roller change. They do come as part of maintenance kits in HP series printers. Transfer rollers really don’t wear out. Worst that happens is they get toner on them. Their function is to charge the back of the paper and pull the toner down on it. That being said, you probably will have a host of other issues. Any drum wiper blade will have deteriorated necessitating replacement of the drums. The fuser assy. will probably have suffered damage to the pressure roller from sitting in the same position without rotation for 8 years. Depending on storage conditions, the toners might have suffered as well. In my opinion, it will cost you more to fix it than replace it. Test print procedure is Chapter 3, item 5 in the user manual http://printer.konicaminolta.net/drivers/manuals/pageworks/cpw.pdf

Toner cartridge full, printer displays: "empty needs replacing"
ANSWER : I once went to a customer who had a similar issue. They had installed new cartridges and judging from the box, they looked OEM. Strange thing was they felt empty when lifted and they were missing the chip on the outside that tells the printer it is installed and keeps track of how many copies were printed with that cartridge. The printer has no other way of knowing if the cartridge is full or empty.
