If you are using a USB connection, make sure that the cable is properly connected. If your printer is connected via wireless network, verify that the wireless connection is working. If all seems fine, restart the printer and try again. If the Konica printer is offline, the error can be caused by faulty printer drivers.
Start by checking your hardware

If you`re using a wired printer, make sure that the printer cable is properly connected from the printer to your PC. For wireless printers, check the wireless connection. Make sure the printer`s wireless option is turned on and available.

1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper

Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.

Reasons a printer goes offline

The problem usually has to do with your printer`s Wi-Fi or its connection to your computer. All sorts of issues can arise—your PC and printer aren`t communicating or an incorrect setting may have forced your device to appear offline.

Open the [Printers] window, [Printers and Faxes] window, or [Devices and Printers] window. Execute [Install printers/MFPs] or [Add Printer]. The [Add Printer Wizard] appears. In the port settings, browse the network and specify the name of the created queue (or NDPS printer name).
Some of the most common printer problems that most of us have experienced include paper jamming, slow printing, uneven printing, and wrong colour output. If you use your printer frequently, we know how annoying it can be to have persisting problems with the printer.
Open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to Hardware and Sound | Devices and Printers. This screen will show you all of the printers that are installed. Right-click on the printer that is experiencing problems, and then select the Troubleshoot command from the shortcut menu.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
There are a few things that could be the cause of this problem, including: Empty ink or toner cartridges that need replacing. Ink or toner cartridges that have become dislodged from their proper place. The wrong paper size loaded in the input tray.

White background is grey
ANSWER : Not familiar with that model, but looking at a photo of its toner cartridge, I would suspect a failed wiper blade in the drum portion. That doesn’t explain why the problem went away. Usually a bad wiper won’t cause overall black background, but streaking. You can take out the cartridge and look at the bottom part that contains the drum. If it is covered with toner, then it is probably a bad wiper blade. You can try turning the drum with your fingers and see if it cleans up as it rotates past the internal wiper blade.

Paper Jams
ANSWER : Not familiar with that printer, but I will tell you about models I am familiar with. On those, the backstop of the tray which fits against the back of the paper signals the size of the page to the printer. It does so by moving some arms on the side in and out so they contact 1 to 3 switches in the printer and that tells the printer what size. Basically, that is the problem you are having, the printer thinks that a different size of paper is in the tray than what you are telling the printer to use through the software.
