ANSWER : Pretty much nothing else you can do except try another new cartridge. I had 2 identical HP printers once in the shop. One of them didn’t like one of the cartridges. I swapped it over with the other printers cartridge and it was happy. So was the other printer. Swapped the cartridges back and it didn’t like it again. How do you explain that? You don’t.

Ink Problem
ANSWER : Remove the color cartridge and do a “blot” test by pushing the heads on the bottom onto a paper towel. You should see all the colors. If not, then run hot tap water on the heads. Could be a bad ink cartridge if it still doesn’t work.

After thr carriage stop moving the ramp will not lower to load or unload the ink cartridge.

ANSWER : All cartridges have tiny chips on the exterior. The chips have to be replaced or reset for the compatibles to work correctly.

ANSWER : The only way is to buy a chip resetter and reset the chip on the cartridge. You can find them online for about $5. You just hold it against the cartridge until the light turns green. You do run the risk of damaging the printhead due to overheating because of no ink in it.
