The ImageWriter line was a brand of dot matrix printers released by Apple Computer in the 1980s. Designed to work with Apple II and Macintosh computers, they could produce images as well as text, up to a resolution of 144 dots per inch (dpi).
The second ImageWriter II (1986) changed to the standard warm-grey Apple “Platinum” color. This model is not only recognizable for being light grey in color, but for having the product name printed beside the rainbow Apple logo.
The Apple Dot Matrix Printer (often shortened to Apple DMP) is a printer manufactured by C. Itoh and sold under Apple label in 1982 for the Apple II series, Lisa, and the Apple III.

By August of that year, Wozniak started designing an improved version, the Apple II. Wozniak and Jobs demonstrated a prototype in December, and then introduced it to the public in April 1977.

Samsung CLP-300 Image Ghosting
ANSWER : Hi there – did you resolve your issue? It exactly mirrors the issue with my Samsung CLP-310. Each print carries across to the subsequent print as a ghost/smeared image and I diagnosis has revealed the transfer belt (ITB) has smeared toner remaining post each print. I was therefore considering replacing the Transfer Belt, but fear it is not the issue as you found. Whatever should be removing the toner from the Transfer Belt post print, is not, and then I get smeared ghosting on subsequent prints of the last print. The only mitigation is to print 5 blank pages post print, then the ghosting/smearing reduces to nearly zero (proving that the toner is being removed partially at least)…. Any help gratefully received.

Laserjet 4250 print quality issue (see image)
ANSWER : It looks like a fuser problem. One way to prove it is with the half-stop test. Put a sheet in the drop down manual feed tray. Send a print job and watch the paper. When the end of it is about to enter the printer, open the lid and take out the toner cartridge. Look at the printed image. If it looks OK, then it is a fuser problem. If not, then it is a toner cartridge issue since it hasn’t gone through the fuser.

ANSWER : They both have chips that need to be replaced. There are videos on YouTube that show how to refill the toners and how to replace the chips.

Scanning and copying faint image
ANSWER : The scanning is done by light bouncing off of some mirrors. Could be dust on one of the mirrors. Try shining a light down into the scanner unit and look at the mirror that is visible and see if it has dust coating on the side that is light.
