Connecting using a network key or PIN
If your printer doesn`t have WPS, you`ll probably have to enter a `network key` – a series of numbers and letters – into the printer using the function buttons and screen on the printer in order to establish the connection between your printer and router.
Check the USB cable for damage and recommended length, and then restart your printer and computer. Turn off the printer and the computer. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer and printer, and then inspect the cable. If the cable is damaged or longer than 3 m (9 ft 10 in), replace it.

WPS Push Button Connect
First, push the WPS button on your printer. If there is no push button, go to the control panel and start the WPS pushbutton mode. Then, tap the wireless menu and then click WiFi protected setup. Then, go with the on-screen instructions to finish the setup.
Open HP Smart app, click your printer, click Printers in the top menu bar, and then click Diagnose & Fix. Follow the instructions if any issues are found. If you still can`t print, remove and re-add the printer.

Restart devices If your printer connects to a Wi-Fi network, disconnect your computer or mobile device from the network name (SSID), and then reconnect it to the same network name your printer is connected to. If the printer is available and has a ready status, the issue is resolved.
