If your USB printer is not found by the HP Smart app, make sure Windows is up to date, check for USB connection issues, and then reinstall the app. Note: An HP+ or eligible printer cannot enroll in HP Smart Advance or Instant Ink using a USB connection.
The printer might have lost the connection to the computer, or the document to be scanned is not placed properly on the scanner glass. Make sure you have the proper printer software installed for the printer.
Status unknown means a circumstance where samples were scheduled to be taken by the regional water quality control plant and were not, samples were taken but not yet analyzed by the report due date or where a new discharger has yet to be sampled.
If the LabelWriter appears as Unspecified or Unknown in Devices and Printers on Windows, it usually means that the computer has not identified that device as a printer yet.
Restart computer, router and printer together to connect them back to the network. Try updating the printer firmware to the latest version and check if it helps. In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features. Select your HP printer.
Place the printer near the Wi-Fi router. Open the Setup, Network, or Wireless settings menu, and then select Wireless Setup Wizard. Select the name of your network, and then enter the password to complete the connection.
In Windows, search for and open Add a printer or scanner . Click Add a printer or scanner, and then wait for Windows to locate available printers. If your printer is found, click it, and then click Add device to complete the driver installation.
Restart devices
If your printer connects to a Wi-Fi network, disconnect your computer or mobile device from the network name (SSID), and then reconnect it to the same network name your printer is connected to. If the printer is available and has a ready status, the issue is resolved.
Install or add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth scanner
Here`s a way to do it manually. Select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners or use the following button. Select Add a printer or scanner. Wait for it to find nearby scanners, then choose the one you want to use, and select Add device.
Unplug and restart your printer Sometimes power-cycling your printer can resolve the issue. Turn off your printer and unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug your printer back in, and then turn the printer back on.
Go to the Start icon on the bottom left of your screen then choose Control Panel and then Devices and Printers. Right click the printer in question and select “See what`s printing”. From the window that opens choose “Printer” from the menu bar at the top. Select “Use Printer Online” from the drop down menu.
If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
