The printer is either low in toner, the density is set too low, or the Economode may be turned on. Remove the toner cartridge and shake it. This will redistribute the toner and often will temporarily solve the problem. However, this usually indicates it is time to install a new cartridge.

Right-click the printer icon on the taskbar, and then select the Print Head Alignment. Or access the printer software, click the Maintenance tab, and then click the Print Head Alignment button. Dust, paper fiber, and other debris might accumulate on the pick rollers and cause paper feed issues. To help prevent paper feed issues, clean the rollers inside the printer and in the duplexer (if equipped). If the other steps in this document fail to resolve the issue, then reset the printer.

Adjust the application settings and the printer settings to the highest possible resolution. Both of these features can typically be accessed from the “Print” menu. Dpi settings can range between 72 dpi and 2400 dpi. Choose the highest dpi setting available for best results when using a laser printer.
