Right-click the printer icon ( ) for your HP product. Click Printing Preferences, and then click the Features tab. In the Paper Saving Options area, select Automatic from the Two-sided printing drop-down list. Adjust other print settings as needed.

The HP LaserJet 1018, 1020, and 1022 series printers have two-sided printing capability. Printing on both sides of the paper, or duplexing, can be done manually by running the paper through the printer twice. To print on both sides of the paper (manual two-sided printing), follow the instructions below.

Open the file to be printed, then open the printer Properties dialog box. Click the Printing Shortcuts tab, and then click Two-sided, duplex, printing (see Figure below). In the Print on both sides drop-down list, click Automatically (see Figure above). Select any other print settings wanted, and then click OK.

In Acrobat or Reader, choose File> Print. Select Print On Both Sides Of Paper in the printer dialog. Click Print.
