The Power light blinks at a steady interval when the printer is processing a print job. If the Power light blinks fast, the ink cartridge door might be open, or the printer might be in an error state. If an error message displays on the computer screen, follow the on-screen messages to resolve the issue.

Ink may have run out (The lamp on the ink tank flashes). If printing is in progress, you are recommended to stop printing, replace the ink tank, and then print again.
Fast blinking power lights indicate that there might be an error with the printer. The flashing resume light is the indicator that the paper jam or an empty paper tray. Due to the broken parts of the printer or any internal error, the printer light starts blinking.
Check the output of the AC adapter. If it is bad then it appears the battery has fully discharged and you need a new AC adapter.
If it is amber (possibly blinking), it indicates an HP Instant Ink warning or error. Press the button to print an information page, check the HP Instant Ink section for diagnostic results, and then follow the instructions on the page. NOTE: HP Instant Ink service is not available in all countries.
The Status light stays yellow and on steady (not flashing) normally to indicate that there is data remaining in the printer`s memory. Press the GO button once to print the remaining data in memory.

1. Paper Jams. Paper jams are a common problem for printers, resulting in time-consuming and frustrating delays. It can occur when loose sheets of paper get stuck in the rollers or feeding mechanism of the printer.
If your printer is turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Keep the power plug unplugged for 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the wall, and turn on the printer. If the error persists, remove the cartridge from the printer, clean the cartridge contacts with a cloth, and reinstall the cartridges.
