First, open Settings (you can do this using the Windows+I keyboard shortcut) and type Remove. Select Add or remove programs. If the device or driver package that you wish to remove appears in the list of programs, select uninstall.

Look in Programs and Features and uninstall any program that correlates to the printer driver to be removed. Open Devices and Printers and if still present, remove the printer driver by right-clicking it and choosing “Remove device.”

Click Start. Choose Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. Choose the apps you want to uninstall and click the Uninstall button.

It is not required, however, the default printer selected may not be updated to a newer printer if there is still an older one installed. You may have to change the default printer in programs for it to select your new printer.

In Control Panel, go to Hardware and Sound. Next, click on Devices and Printers. Under the Printers section, locate and select the printer device you want to remove. Right-click on the printer and select Remove Device.
