Laser printer fusers adhere toner powder to a page using a combination of heat and pressure. Error 50.5 occurs when the fuser fitted physically but the printer has specifically identified it as wrong.
Error 50.3 suggests the fuser became too hot, which might be a failed fan, bad ventilation, bad power supply or wrong settings. The fuser may not be to blame.
The message `Fuser Error` or `Self-Diagnostic` means either the fuser has reached the maximum temperature allowed or there has been an error in detection of the correct temperature during specific times of the printing process.
Streaking, smudging, black lines, and double images are all symptoms of a bad fuser. When you notice these printing defects and experience problems, such as paper jams or wrinkles, this is a good sign to replace the fuser kit.
If you are seeing the message 50.9 Fuser Error on your HP LaserJet P4014, P4015, P4015 series printer, you have either a failing fuser or the wrong model fuser installed in your printer. (The fuser is the consumable part in your printer which heats up and bonds toner to the paper.
To brief on teh functionality- Fuser assembly is made up of heating element, thermistors, teflon etc. if thermistor is not able to reach to the operataing temperature so that it can send signal to the printer that i am ready to work, then it gives 50.0 error message.
41.3 Paper Size Error. HP`s User Guide for the P4014, P4015 and P4515 printer series says: This is typically caused if two or more sheets stick together in the product or if the tray is not properly adjusted . Reload the tray with the correct paper size.
Look inside the fuser opening to make sure there is no debris or jammed paper. Remove any debris or jammed paper, if found. Hold the handles on each side of the fuser and reinstall it in the printer.
The P4014 series use a thin fuser sleeve as a medium to heat the paper. Error 50.8 suggests one end of the fuser is not heating up which may be damage to the sleeve or heavy media.
The 50.2 fuser error message is a “Slow Fuser” error, which is a time-out error where the fuser is not warming up fast enough. If you see the error message “50.2 Fuser Error” on your HP Color LaserJet 2820 or 2840 series printer, you probably need to replace the fuser.
50.2 error indicates that the printer is not heating up fast enough. This can be caused by a bad heating element in the fuser but can also be caused when the printer does not have adequate power due to overloaded circuits or being plugged into a power strip or surge bar that limits current flow.
50.AF is a low fuser temperature error and usually caused by a defective fuser. Resetting the printer is unlikely to resolve this error.

P4015 P4515 Noise Problems
ANSWER : I have a 4015 that has optional tray3, and optional tray4-1500 sheet stacker. The noise goes away if I remove the optional trays, and run printer by itself. When I add back either tray the noise comes back. from what I have read the tray1 electromagnetic clutch assembly drives the optional trays when they are installed. Is this clutch assembly available to replace or is it part of the whole tray 1 pick up assembly? This noise is not related to fuser or toner. Very frustrated customer and tech.
