How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced technical support :

Lift the document feeder input tray to access to the document feeder output tray, and then remove any jammed paper from the output area. To avoid tearing any whole sheets of paper, pull the paper with both hands. Open the scanner lid. If there is paper jammed behind the white plastic backing, gently pull it out.
A paper jam is when paper or other printed material gets stuck or lodged in a printer and cannot eject.
If your printer has a paper path cover behind the carriage, remove the cover, and then remove any jammed paper. Pull out the input tray, and then remove any jammed paper. If your printer has a bottom cleanout door, carefully lift the printer and look under it, and then remove any jammed paper from the bottom cleanout.
Sometimes a paper jam error persists even though there is no jammed paper (false paper jam). Reset the printer, which might clear a false paper jam error, and then try to print again. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
Paper jams can occur for a variety of reasons, such as overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray, or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer. False paper jams can also occur.
This can happen for a variety of reasons, from a sudden power outage, low ink, no paper, a paper jam to interference by third-party firewall software.

Paper Jam error but no paper jam
ANSWER : Obviously you didn’t get all the paper cleared out. There is a small scrap in the paper path causing the jam when the paper hits it. You can try clearing it out by inserting something stiff like a piece of file folder from the back of the printer into the paper path and pushing the offending piece out that way.
