Restart and Reconnect
A hard reboot of your computer and printer can reset bugs in the system. Anything from an error message in the background to losing a wi-fi connection can cause an issue. Restart your computer and the HP Deskjet 3050. Power the printer off, then restart the computer first, then the printer.
Reasons why your HP printer has ink but won`t print
This may seem obvious, but it sometimes happens: first make sure your paper tray has paper in it. Misalignment, clogged printheads, faulty data communication or insufficient ink levels can also be sources of the problem.
Printer sleep mode
Check that the printer does not have sleep mode enabled: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer in question, then select Printer Preferences. Look for an option to disable sleep or time-out mode.
