How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Bits of paper might be obstructing the paper path and need to be cleared. Unsupported paper types and sizes might catch and tear in the printer mechanism while printing. Paper pushed too far into the input tray when it is loaded, might feed into the printer incorrectly, causing the paper to tear.
Most 300gsm card printers are likely to have a manual feed option, or a bypass tray which allows the thicker card to pass through the printer withought being bent or folder around the twists and turns of the main paper path from tray to output.
It`s important to make sure that your copier/printer can handle your desired paper thickness. Standard, desktop printers typically can`t handle anything over 80# cover, while a multifunction copier with a bypass tray can usually handle 100+ pounds.
Preventing a printer paper jam

Overfilling the paper tray is frequently causes paper jams. Many printers have sliding mechanisms that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not correctly positioned, it can cause a paper jam.

If you are printing with a high intensity setting on plain paper, the paper may absorb too much ink and become wavy, causing paper abrasion. Check the intensity setting in the printer driver.
Most printers can print paper weights of between 60gsm and 120gsm but we recommend you check what paper weight your printer can take as some will struggle to print on heavier paper and card.
The pack contains premium 120 gsm paper, which is thicker than standard copy papers. The A4 size makes it ideal for general purpose printing of documents, presentations, brochures, flyers and photos.
Heavier paper is great for professional documents, while standard-weight paper is best for everyday use.
For instance, the letter-size paper is A4, 55 gsm paper. The first measurement refers to the length and width, while the second measurement refers to the weight and thickness.
Setting Form Tear off

Line the perforated edge of the page with the blade edge by micro-feeding the page up or down. Power off the printer for 5 seconds and power it back on again. This will set the position for Form tear off.

A piece of paper stuck in the paper tray or inside the printer can create a paper jam. Paper jams can occur for a variety of reasons, such as overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray, or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer.
In a typical printer, paper moves through a series of rollers and belts that are designed to feed the paper through the printing process. The movement of the paper starts when the user loads the paper into the paper tray.
Even if the paper you select matches the printer`s recommended thickness range, adding too much or too little of it to the input tray can result in unevenly fed sheets. The rollers that move paper out of the tray function best when you maintain at least a mid-level stack but don`t exceed or undershoot the loading line.
Paper feed issues might result from dusty, torn, wrinkled, wet, or folded paper in the tray. The quality of the paper can also make a difference. Follow these guidelines to help avoid the issue. Use only good quality paper that meets product specifications.
