To resolve this issue, change the default paper size of your printer: Click Start, point to Settings, and the click Printers. Right-click the appropriate printer, and then click Properties. Click the Paper tab, and then click the paper size you want to use in the Paper Size box.
For HP Laser printers, click the Paper tab, click the Original Size drop-down, and then make sure the paper size matches the type of paper loaded into the printer. Click the Output Size drop-down, select Same as Original Size, and then click OK.
Check the printer settings

Make sure that the printer is not set to select the paper size automatically. If the printer is set to select the paper size automatically, it can cause the paper size mismatch error.

In the Print window, click Preferences, Properties, or Printer Properties. Click the Paper/Quality tab, and then click Custom. Click New, type a name for the custom paper size, select the width and height, and then click OK to save the paper.
The extra time needed to pick the sheet of paper incorrectly leads the product to `believe` that the piece of paper pulled from Tray 2 is actually longer than it is. Depending on how much extra time was needed to feed the sheet, the product may jam and/or display the Unexpected Size error.
It sounds like your print job is sending A5 and your printer is expecting A4. Printer settings:Go to printers and scanners, click your printer, manage, printer preferences, paper/quality, ensure paper size is A4, apply. go to the effects tab, resizing options should probably be actual size, apply.
Print Setup

Check your document and your application for settings that force its output at more or less than actual size. You may see a “Fit to Page,” “Scale to Fit” or “Crop to Fit” option.

Open the item you want to print, click File > Page Setup. Select Manage Custom Sizes from the Paper Size menu to open the Custom Paper Sizes window. Click the plus sign to create a new paper size.
Default print jobs are formatted to fit an 8.5-inch by 11-inch piece of paper. Depending on what type of document you`re printing and what program you`re using to print it, it may be labeled “Letter.” A4 size paper, on the other hand, is closer to 8.25-inches by 11.75-inches.

HP Laserjet 2200, Tray 2 Pickup Problem, Gears Clicking
ANSWER : Definitely not a solenoid problem. I’ve worked on tens of thousands of printers and never replaced a single solenoid. You probably knocked something loose when you installed the pickup roller. Maybe something to do with the gear on the end of the pickup roller shaft. You’ll need to take the gear assembly off to be able to see it.

HP Laserjet 6MP wont feed paper
ANSWER : I had a similar paper pickup problem on laserjet 6mp. The printer would go through start-up sequence fine but when it received a print job you could here the main gears/rollers turning but no clicking from paper pickup solenoid, then eventually error lights would come one . I incorrectly assumed it was an error with the paper pickup mechanism and wasted a whole day taking the printer apart and replacing the paper pick mechanism. Long story short, if I had bothered to figure out the secondary error light codes from the start, I would have realized it was just a bad fuser and would not have wasted so much time.
