Running out of ink
If your printer runs out of ink, obviously the pages will come out blank when you attempt to print out what you need. Most of your HP printers will already have some kind of indicator to let you know that you are running slot. Solution: The solution is a no-brainer. Replace the ink cartridges.
There are numerous possible causes for a printer that`s randomly producing blanks. The most common ones are empty ink cartridges, improper cartridge installation, and congested nozzles. Driver and software issues can sometimes cause this problem as well.
This can be caused by debris or contamination on the drum, the transfer corotron, the device not positioned properly on a solid flat, level surface, or by using old or damp paper.

Note: If dark spots appear on back side of prints, clean drum screen. Note: If minilab prints more than 2000 prints each day, clean drum screen up to twice daily.
Ghost prints happen when the drum or fuser unit within your printer become faulty. Because a fault with this element won`t heat the particles of the toner to a high enough temperature, the marks being made on the paper are much lighter in colour and appear more faded than typical documents.
Determine how long the cartridge has been installed. White streaking through the printout or an entire missing color both indicate an empty cartridge. If the cartridge is depleted of one color, it needs to be replaced. Each color is necessary to create the colors used in day-to-day printing.
The product prints a nozzle check pattern. Check the printed pattern to see if there are gaps in the lines. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head.
Trick the printer.
Low ink doesn`t mean no ink. Remove the cartridge, wipe it with a lint-free cloth and reinsert it. This process can fool your printer into “thinking” you`ve put in a new cartridge and may help it eke out a few more pages.
Choose “Printing Preferences” from the pop-up menu, then look at the setup options your print driver provides. Usually, there will be one called “Layout” or “Page Layout.” Once you`ve clicked “Layout,” you should have the option to manually set your margins to zero.
