Print a Self Test/Device Configuration page in Windows
The Printer Preferences window displays. Click the Services tab, and then select Config Page from the Print Information Pages drop-down menu. Click Print. The Self Test/Device Configuration Page prints.
An Er/03 error message indicates the printer failed to pick a sheet of paper to print. Remove the stack of paper from the tray and check the condition of the paper. Reload the paper, and then try to print, copy or scan.
The E3 error code indicates the unit has detected there is no refrigerant. The unit will require a repair service for refrigerant to be added, please visit Request a Repair page for further assistance.
That error code translates to a tray 2 feed where the paper was detected as too long or too short. As tray 1 prints fine, you can rule out any sensor in the path that the manual feed takes.
This error indicates a RAM failure. The specific memory is internal memory not one of the dimm slots. You can try removing any additional memory first to see if the device will boot but likely this is a failure of the formatter and you would need to replace the formatter.
Run Diagnose & Fix
Open the HP Smart app, and then open Diagnose & Fix. Windows: Click the Diagnose & Fix icon in the bottom left corner. macOS: Click your printer, click Printers in the top menu bar, and then click Diagnose & Fix.
On the Start menu, click on Settings. Select Devices > Printers & Scanners. Select your printer, and then click on the Manage button. On the left hand side, click Print Test Page.
Printing a test page helps you make sure that you don`t waste ink on your printer`s cleaning function. It also prevents damage from happening to more important papers you may need. When testing a page, print an image that uses a lot of color.
Doing a printer test page will uncover and pinpoint possible causes as to why the device stopped printing. It can identify a clogged printhead and alignment problem and help match color replication as well. By identifying an issue through this test, you can resolve the problem faster, preventing it from becoming worse.
Check for obstructions in the carriage path
Open the cartridge access door to get to the carriage inside the printer. Make sure the carriage is not obstructed by gently sliding the carriage side to side. Look for and remove any obstructions in the carriage path, such as crumpled paper or dislodged labels.
E3 indicates a combined water outlet temperature sensor error. E4 indicates a water outlet temperature sensor error.
Cause 3 No route to destination – This cause indicates that the called party cannot be reached because the network through which the call has been routed does not serve the destination desired.
Toner cartridge sensor error.
When a 31.13. 13 error appears on the control panel, it indicates that there is a jam in the document feeder because the feeder cover is open. Open then close the document feeder cover. If issue remains, open the document feeder cover.
System Error 03:10 – Technical Support
Normally this error code can only be resolved by replacing the Power Supply Unit. Often the error occurs at the same time as a loud mechanical noise coming from the power supply unit. This means the bearings in the cooling fan have failed and the power supply has in-turn failed.
