How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Deskjet is a brand name for inkjet printers manufactured by Hewlett-Packard. These printers range from small domestic to large industrial models, although the largest models in the range have generally been dubbed DesignJet.
The power consumption of an average inkjet printer is 30 to 50 watts in printing mode and around 3 to 5 watts while on standby mode.
The average lifespan of a printer is around 3-5 years. With proper upkeep and maintenance, some printers can last longer, but eventually your machine will need an upgrade.
Deskjet printers are best for users who don`t have a lot of printing needs. They have lower printing costs per page, making them great for budget-conscious households. They also have higher resolution than inkjet printers, which makes them good for making detailed graphics or documents with intricate fonts.
Another major advantage of laser printers is they print much faster and produce higher-quality prints than inkjet printers do. For example, the Xerox VersaLink B405, a laser printer, prints at speeds of up to 47 pages per minute (ppm), while the HP DeskJet 3755, an inkjet printer, only prints up to 8 ppm.
The ink or toner cartridges are listed according to where the printer was manufactured. Some printers use more than one cartridge. For example, an HP Deskjet 1510 All-in-One Printer uses an HP 61 Black ink cartridge, as well as an HP 61 Tri-color ink cartridge.
HP printers use thermal inkjet technology that delivers high-quality prints with a broader range of color accuracy. Epson printers are generally slower than HP printers, but this can vary depending on the model. HP printers are generally faster, especially when it comes to black-and-white prints.
HP printers are of great quality both in terms of their build and output. They come in both monochrome and color output variations. So, if you are planning to buy a new printer for your home, we recommend HP printers. Read this article to find the best HP printers for home and office use.
Ink cartridges can dry out over time. If they are sitting in your machine for an extended period, they will eventually dry up and become unusable. The simplest way to combat this problem is by printing more frequently or running regular cleans and ink tests to ensure the nozzles remain clean.
A good rule of thumb: if your printer is more than seven years old, you may want to start pricing new units. In this case, even a relatively inexpensive component is not worth the investment.
A typical ink cartridge will yield 250 to 300 pages depending on the color density of the prints. The yield of a typical toner cartridge in a laser printer is between 2,500 and 3,000 pages. Some larger laser printers can even have toners that will yield up to 30,000 pages!
For commercial applications, high-end printers can print up to 100 pages per minute. Black and white printing can still produce images, using shades of gray in place of colors while improving your print speed dramatically over the speed of printing in color.
Here`s a quick calculation you can do to get a rough idea of how many pages your cartridge will print. The manufacturer`s capacity is based on 5% of the page being covered in ink or toner, but if you are printing large shaded areas or more than 4 paragraphs of text, we generally print at more like 10 – 15% coverage.
Yes, absolutely. In fact, they have always been good at printing photos. Historically, laser printers have been associated with high-quantity printing over quality, and while this is partially true, it is possible to have the best of both worlds thanks to the latest developments in laser printing.

Many printers have been developed by certain companies and brands. They have registered specific names, for example, “deskjet” is an inkjet which has been developed by the company HP for desk use at home or office. Inkjet technology is very different from laser printing which is used in machines like Xerox copiers.
Otherwise, you risk expensive damage to your print head and thus to your entire printer. So, the rule here is that you should not use an ink cartridge for more than six months after the expiration date.
An original printer cartridge that comes with your printer is likely closer to 24 months, while a compatible cartridge may come closer to 36 months. Check the expiration dates so you can prioritize use of cartridges with earlier dates. Think of the expiration date more in terms of a dry good than a carton of milk.
While HP offers several affordable printers, all of its printers use very expensive ink cartridges. In fact, in comparison to Epson and Canon, HP printers have the most expensive ink per page.
In September 2001 HP entered the low-end laser printer market with the introduction of the LaserJet 1000: the first sub-$250 LaserJet and the lowest-priced monochrome (black and white) HP LaserJet printer to date.
Overview The HP Deskjet printer was introduced in February 1988. Since that time, more than 240 million Deskjet printers have been sold worldwide and continue to sell at a pace of more than 18 million printers per year.

If you look at the back door cover of the printer there is a label that has your model number serial number and also includes the date of manufactuer. Hope this helps.
