How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

During printing the printer stops feeding pages and the control panel displays an alternating E and 4, and the Error icon , Paper Error icon , and Ink Alert light blink. This indicates that paper might be jammed inside the printer.
You need to ensure your HP printer has enough paper, ink, or toner, and it is not stuck on paper jam. Also, check the status of your printer cartridge and try replacing it with a new one if it is not good enough. In some cases, your HP printer stops printing after you replace its parts.
Requirements: Operating System – Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10.
An E0 error indicates an unusable cartridge. This condition occurs when at least one ink cartridge needs attention, is faulty, incorrect, missing, damaged, or incompatible. Reseat both ink cartridges, clean the ink cartridge contacts, restart the printer, and replace one or both ink cartridges if necessary.
Technically, the E4 error is not an error at all. It actually tells you, your unit is going into defrost mode. That does, however, mean that something has caused your unit to get too cold. A broken temperature sensor can also cause your AC to enter defrost mode.
The paper might not be engaged with the feed rollers. The paper-width guide is pressed against the paper stack too tightly. The paper tray is not completely inserted into the product. The paper settings in the print driver do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.
Reasons why your HP printer has ink but won`t print

This may seem obvious, but it sometimes happens: first make sure your paper tray has paper in it. Misalignment, clogged printheads, faulty data communication or insufficient ink levels can also be sources of the problem.

HP Deskjet printers supported in Windows 11.
HP Printers – Using an HP Printer with Windows 10 in S Mode

To use your HP printer in Windows 10 with S Mode, install the HP Smart app (in English) from the Microsoft store. Once the app is installed and connected to your printer, you can print, scan and access features from HP Smart.

Fixing the 0x0000011b Printing Error on Windows

This error has largely affected Windows 10 computers. To fix the issue, try to install all the pending Windows updates that may include a hotfix. You can also add the printer manually to a local port or edit the registry entry to disable the problematic setting.

Dust, paper fiber, and other debris might accumulate on the pick rollers and cause paper feed issues. To help prevent paper feed issues, clean the rollers inside the printer and in the duplexer (if equipped).
If roll paper does not feed, cut the end straight across and uncurl it by rolling it backward, if necessary. Then reload the paper. If thick media does not feed, make sure you are loading it straight into the product, not at an angle. If paper jams when you print on both sides of the paper, try loading fewer sheets.
HP Printer Error E4 means that the FINE cartridge in your printer device is not installed appropriately. To move out the cartridges, you will require to push the output tray back in before opening the cover.
First off, there is no physical button to reset this printer model. Hence if you need to restore the printer you need to press and hold the Wireless button ( ) and the Cancel button (X) from the printer control panel together for three seconds. Once done, reconnect the printer to the network and check.
An F4 E4 (Low or No Line Voltage) Diagnostic code indicates that there may be a problem with your home power supply, keeping the dryer`s heater from turning on. Touch any pad to clear the code from the display and return to the estimated time remaining.

HP deskjet 460 Waste ink tank full
ANSWER : I worked fixing printers for 5 years for Verizon and some of the older printers were notorious for the waste receptacle filling and overflowing with ink. My solution was good old warm water. Remove the waste container and scoop out as much as you can with a small screwdriver, wiping the discard on a paper towel, then just run warm water from the faucet into the container till all the residue is removed. This is just water soluble ink folks, if you want to test it, scoop out a glob and dissolve it in warm water, its easy as pie. I never once bought a new ink discard reservoir. I just cleaned out my mobile 460 printer reservoir by the same method. There are no electrical connections its just all plastic.
