Dust, paper fiber, and other debris might accumulate on the pick rollers and cause paper feed issues. To help prevent paper feed issues, clean the rollers inside the ADF. Open the ADF cover. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with distilled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.
If roll paper does not feed, cut the end straight across and uncurl it by rolling it backward, if necessary. Then reload the paper. If thick media does not feed, make sure you are loading it straight into the product, not at an angle. If paper jams when you print on both sides of the paper, try loading fewer sheets.
If the paper feed rollers are dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly. In this case, clean the paper feed rollers. Cleaning will wear out the paper feed rollers, so perform this only when necessary. Make sure that the power is turned on and remove any paper from the rear tray.
Printer rollers are the small circular rubber pieces that help feed printer paper through your printer. Over time, they can accumulate dust from the paper and ink residue from printing double-sided pages. To clean your printer rollers, you`ll need to first locate them in your printer.
Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.
Sheet feeder: Holds the blank paper and automatically feeds the paper during printing.
Most printers print the information from top to bottom, which means the paper should be fed into top-feed printers upside down so the top of the card goes into the printer first.
Go to Tools, Scan Settings and select the printer/scanner. Edit the properties. Select the “Source” to be “Feeder”, make this the “default” profile and then “Save Profile”. This will then enable you to scan multiple pages by using the ADF.
Click: `Open the HP Photosmart Toolbox` or: `Service this device` Click: Device Services tab. Click: Calibrate the Device or Clean the Print Cartridges or Align the printer. Follow the instruction which will appear on-screen.
This is often caused by the fact the pick-up roller is worn out. The layer of rubber around this plastic part overtime gets too smooth, preventing paper from feeding properly into the printer. This fix is not really hard, will take no more than half an hour and costs around 10,- (Euro or Dollar).
