What is Deskjet? Deskjet printing is a type of printing where the ink is deposited on paper through a desktop printer. The most common type of deskjet printer uses thermal inkjet technology, which heats small drops of ink and sprays them onto the paper. Deskjet printers can only print on regular paper.
In 1988, HP introduced the first DeskJet. It included a built-in cut sheet feeder, 2 ppm, and 300 dpi. This was followed by the DeskJet Plus in 1989. It offered a landscape printing ability.
The printer`s laser projects your print onto a drum. A drum then uses static electricity to attract the dry toner to the drum`s cylinder. The drum then rolls the toner onto the paper to create your print. The toner powder is melted and pressed onto the paper with heat from the fuser as it goes through a set of rollers.
The computer sends the file and your selected print options to a printer that`s connected to your computer. The computer`s printer driver translates the computer data into a language the printer is able to understand (every computer must have an installed driver for every printer it`s going to print on)
Add a printer using Wi-Fi Direct: On your printer, make sure Wi-Fi Direct is turned on. On your mobile device, tap All printers > Add printer, and then tap HP Print Service or HP Inc. Tap Directly to the Printer, select the name of your printer with DIRECT in the name, and then tap OK.

Deskjet, on the other hand, is a brand name given to inkjet printers that are designed by HP (Hewlett-Packard). These models are available in a variety of sizes ranging from compact domestic printers to larger ones for frequent and regular use. Deskjet printers have the ability to print almost three pages in a minute.

Hold the ink cartridge by its sides with the contacts toward the printer, insert the ink cartridge into its slot, and then gently push the ink cartridge until it snaps into place. note: Install the color ink cartridge on the left and the black ink cartridge on the right. Repeat these steps for the other ink cartridge.
Simply plug the USB cable from your printer into an available USB port on your PC, and turn the printer on. On the taskbar, select the Search icon, type Printers in the search bar, and then select Printers & scanners from the search results to open the Printers & scanners system setting.
Most modern printers will have Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth, or require you to download a printer app to your phone. This allows you to send a document from your phone to a printer wirelessly. If your printer has none of these features, you will need to connect your phone to the printer using a USB cable.

Once you have the adapter in hand, plug your phone into your printer. You should easily be able to complete print jobs via this method. Some HP printers have a built-in Bluetooth radio that supports pairing with a computer, mobile phone, or tablet to enable wireless printing. Turn on the Bluetooth radio on the printer. Depending on the model, press the Bluetooth button , or navigate to the Setup or Network menu to access Bluetooth settings.
Wireless printers, also known as WiFi printers, can connect to a network without needing to be hard-wired/cabled into that network. Once a wireless printer is connected to a WiFi network, the computers, smartphones and tablets also connected to that network can print to the WiFi printer.
The ink or toner cartridges are listed according to where the printer was manufactured. Some printers use more than one cartridge. For example, an HP Deskjet 1510 All-in-One Printer uses an HP 61 Black ink cartridge, as well as an HP 61 Tri-color ink cartridge.
In fact, AirPrint technology is installed on a wide variety of printers, and there are many HP AirPrint compatible printers available in these series: HP LaserJet, HP DeskJet, HP OfficeJet, Samsung Xpress, HP Photosmart, and HP ENVY.
Some HP printers use just two ink cartridges, a black and tri-color, while others work with four individual ink cartridges that come in black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Both types produce high quality text, color and photo prints, but for most printer users, individual ink cartridges offer a better cost savings.
Another major advantage of laser printers is they print much faster and produce higher-quality prints than inkjet printers do. For example, the Xerox VersaLink B405, a laser printer, prints at speeds of up to 47 pages per minute (ppm), while the HP DeskJet 3755, an inkjet printer, only prints up to 8 ppm.

In the Devices and Printers window click on Add a printer. Choose “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings”, then click Next. Select Create a new port and choose Standard TCP/IP Port, then click Next. Under Hostname or IP address: Type in the IP address of the printer you intend to connect to.
Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage.

ANSWER : hi everyone. i have an hp ink advantage 5525 all-in-one. changed all cartridges as they were empty and when i tried to print i got blank pages. i gave a print order a couple times to find out what was going on and found out that yellow and magenta inks worked but not cyan and black. removed cartridges, clean and all many times and nothing happened. then i tried this youtu.be/f57jOGj-G5s and the print quality of magenta and yellow improved significantly but still no black or cyan at all. i can’t do the running water thing because the print head is not detachable. any suggestions?
