Insert the stack of paper into the product, and then gently push the paper guides snugly against the paper. Make sure that the paper is fully inserted into the product. Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, try loading different brands of paper and different types of paper, one type at a time.
A “Load Paper” intervention message appears on the printer display even when there is paper loaded in the tray. This error message means the printer is not detecting any paper on the tray. The same intervention message will appear when: The tray is empty.
The common reasons for this issue are various, for instance, the paper input tray is overloaded, dust or moisture can affect the paper feed or paper pick rollers, the printer driver is old, etc. Thus, the printer cannot detect the paper that has been inserted into the tray.
Sometimes a paper jam error persists even though there is no jammed paper (false paper jam). Reset the printer, which might clear a false paper jam error, and then try to print again. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
This error can occur if the printer trays are installed incorrectly. Make sure the printer is located on a flat surface, and then make sure the photo tray moves smoothly within the paper tray guides. Make sure the printer is positioned on a flat surface. Push in the output tray extender.
When the printer tells you to load tray 1 it means the size and or type of paper being asked by the print job does not match the same that the printer thinks it has in the tray.
Slide the paper all the way into the printer. The leading edge of the paper will stop at the Paper Drive Roller. Locate the Paper Sensor/OOPs sensor on the right side of the paper path. It can be seen from the top of the printer with the Top Cover open and has red, black, and blue wires attached to it.

Put the side to be printed on face up with the leading edge (top) of the paper in first. To print on the second side, put the paper face down, with the leading edge (top) of the paper in first. If letterhead paper is used, put it in with the heading face down and in first.
Load paper short edge first and printable side up. Load letterhead or pre-printed paper top edge first. Do not load paper above the arrow mark inside the edge guide. If you have trouble loading a stack of envelopes, press each envelope flat before loading it or load one envelope at a time.

The Load Tray 1, Tray 1 Missing, or Insert Tray 1 error messages indicate that the printer has failed to detect the tray. The Tray Low or Tray Empty errors indicate that one or more of the tray sources are empty or low.
Generally when the printer tells you to print to tray 1 it means the job being sent to the printer is asking for a paper size and/or type that the printer does not think it has in any tray. Check you paper size and type settings for trays 2 and 3 and then check what each job is asking.

1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper
Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.
The Auto Sense sensor detects unique Auto Sensing marks on the back of select HP media and the printer automatically selects appropriate color profiles and print settings, including paper type and print quality. When printing directly from a memory card, the sensor also detects the paper size, up to 8.5 x 11-inch.
The most obvious is most common on laser color printers and can be detected by a flashing message on the printer display screen. Other signs of a bad printer drum include printing blank pages, printing gray pages and strange sounds coming from the printer as it prints.
You`ll know the drum is dirty if you notice that the print quality has become blurry and features blank spots or oddly-colored spots despite having full toner cartridges. Horizontal lines across the printout when the paper passes over a dirty area are another sign that it`s time for some maintenance.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
