The System error 79:04 is a generic firmware error (equivalent to a blue screen in Windows). The printer displays this error when an unknown exception occurs that cannot be pointed to by any specific subsystem of the printer.
Corrupt print Job
You will likely find that you were printing from a web document or website and usually internet explorer when you experienced the Error 79. This is caused by the printer getting stuck in a loop after attempting to print from the encoding of the website.
The 79:04 issue was caused by a queued print job. The workaround to first disconnect the printer from the network and then power cycling enabled me to be able to connect to the Embedded Web Server and update the firmware to 11.0.
Recommended action. Turn the printer off, wait 15 seconds and turn the printer back on (using the power switch located on the back of the printer). The error code should not appear again.
Unexplained 79:04 error on boot up (printer isolated)
Third party ink supplies (printheads or cartridges) can commonly cause unexplained 79:04 errors. To resolve issue, replace all third party ink supplies from the printer, and replace with supported HP ink supplies.
A specific print job that is not correctly formatted for the printer or that is not correctly processed by it can trigger a 79:04 system error.
To remove all calibrations and reset the Printer to its factory values, choose Color calibration>Reset from the Ink menu.
The BIOS Recovery (500) message displays for 15 seconds before the computer automatically reboots. You have the option of pressing enter to proceed without waiting 15 seconds. To resolve the BIOS Recovery Error (500), update the computer BIOS to the latest version.
A new page should print with a claim code. If the page does not print, see the email address on the printer display. The first part of the HP ePrint address preceding “@hpeprint.com” is the claim code. For example, if your HP ePrint email is “abc@hpeprint.com”, then “abc” is your claim code.
Error code E04 means that the FINE cartridge in your printer is not installed correctly. To remove the cartridges you will need to push the output tray back in before opening the cover.
This issue can occur when a user has logged into one tree, but then attempts to install an iPrint printer in a different tree. The user credentials are cached and the wrong credentials are auto-passed to the iPrint server`s LDAP. The user from the other tree will not be found and return the 500 error.

Error Code 51.1 says Printer Error No Kidding.lol
ANSWER : Sometimes turning off and on will allow you to print a few pages. The error is a beam detect error. The only real fix is to replace the laser scanner unit. Could be a loose connector on the scanner or DC controller from the scanner. That’s unlikely. You could try the only other free fix which is to open the scanner assy. and clean all the mirrors inside. The dust could obstruct the laser beam enough to cause the detect error.

ANSWER : I was replacing the belt on my 750c and let the y-axis motor slip out of my hand. This caused the two wire terminals to disconnect from the motor. Does anyone know which terminals the white and black wires attach to? One of the terminals has a red dot beside it and I assume this is an indicator, but do not know which wire connects there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
