Reasons why your HP printer has ink but won`t print
This may seem obvious, but it sometimes happens: first make sure your paper tray has paper in it. Misalignment, clogged printheads, faulty data communication or insufficient ink levels can also be sources of the problem.
Requirements: Operating System – Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10.
Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer. Press and hold the Power button, and then press the Cancel button . Release the Cancel button, then the Power button. A test page prints.
Incorrectly installed ink cartridges or low ink levels can result in poor print quality or errors. Check ink levels. From the printer control panel: Look for an ink drop, a cartridge icon, or an Ink Levels menu.
If your printer is running low on ink, it may start printing blank pages. To check your ink levels, go to your printer`s control panel and select the Ink Levels option. Whenever the ink levels are low, replace the cartridges with new ones. You can also try shaking the cartridge gently to redistribute the ink.
Just above the circuit board on most printer cartridges, you`ll find a small button. You`ve seen these tiny buttons before on cell phones, phone chargers, etc. This is your reset button, and the only way to get in there is either with a paper clip or the tip of a pen (which will leave a tiny ink smudge on the button).
In Windows, search for and open Add a printer or scanner . Click Add a printer or scanner, and then wait for Windows to locate available printers. If your printer is found, click it, and then click Add device to complete the driver installation.
If your printer is compatible with Windows 10, download and run the Print and Scan Doctor to detect and fix isses. If problems persist, reinstall the latest HP printing software. Download and Install the latest HP printer software and driver.
Check the ink levels on your printer.
Low or empty cartridges can also cause the printer to print blank pages. So, check the ink/toner levels on your printer and replace cartridges if necessary.
Right-click your printer and select Properties. Then in the General tab click on the Print Test Page button. If you are unable to print a test page after following the previous steps, you may want to restart your computer. Restarting fixes many hardware problems.
The shortcut key to print documents is Ctrl + P.
Turn on the laptop and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly until System Recovery starts. On the Choose an option screen, click “Troubleshoot.” Click “Reset this PC.”
Printers that use two cartridges (one black, one tri-color) can print if one cartridge is empty. To continue printing, remove the empty cartridge from the printer. If a Single-cartridge mode message displays, select OK. If you are using the black cartridge, prints are in black and white (grayscale).
Click Start, click Devices and Printers or Printers, and then click Add a printer. Select Use an existing port, click Next, and then wait while Windows searches for available printers. Select the driver you want to install and from the list of search results and then click Next.
Because printers require driver software to communicate with your application software through your OS, you need drivers that support your current computer configuration. Some newer printers provide fallback support for at least one OS generation older than the version on the market.
In the Windows Settings search box, type “Printer,” then select Add a printer or scanner. In the Printers & scanners page, select Add a printer or scanner. Select your printer when you see it appear, then follow any additional instructions to install the printer driver.
If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
A printer driver is a piece of software that translates your computer data into a format your printer can understand. Each printer is built with different hardware and software, so your computer needs to learn how to give instructions to each particular machine. That`s what a printer driver is used for.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
If you are having trouble getting your cartridge to read properly or are having connectivity issues with your printer, sometimes a hard reset will resolve the problem. Power down the printer and then unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall. Wait for a minute, then plug the printer back in.
Start by checking your hardware
If you`re using a wired printer, make sure that the printer cable is properly connected from the printer to your PC. For wireless printers, check the wireless connection. Make sure the printer`s wireless option is turned on and available.
To be specific, you should make sure that your printer has sufficient paper, ink or toner and without paper jam. If the printer cartridge`s status is faulty, you should replace it with a new one. After carrying out these operations, check if the HP printer can print properly. If not, try other methods immediately.

Prints blank pages, won't print from computer
ANSWER : Don’t know why you replaced the fuser, but assuming you had print before, then it must have been something you did during the procedure. Only thing I can suggest is to recheck your work. Just because you reinstalled a connector doesn’t mean that it is seated firmly enough to work. Any flat ribbon connectors that you removed and reinstalled, check to see that the contacts are all flat and not peeled back.

ANSWER : hi everyone. i have an hp ink advantage 5525 all-in-one. changed all cartridges as they were empty and when i tried to print i got blank pages. i gave a print order a couple times to find out what was going on and found out that yellow and magenta inks worked but not cyan and black. removed cartridges, clean and all many times and nothing happened. then i tried this youtu.be/f57jOGj-G5s and the print quality of magenta and yellow improved significantly but still no black or cyan at all. i can’t do the running water thing because the print head is not detachable. any suggestions?
