White lines will typically start appearing on your print outs due to a clogged up printer head. Your first port of call when solving this problem is to run the cleaning program on your printer, which should be accessible through its settings menu.
Streaks and unwanted lines could mean that the printer heads are out of alignment. There`s an alignment tool in the printer`s control panel. If that`s not the issue then the printer is dirty. Printer ink stripes may appear along the edges of the paper, which means there`s ink on the rollers and other parts.
Try a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water for a streak-free clean. You can use a spray bottle or dip a rag in the solution, just like you would an ordinary cleaner. If you are worried about the fumes, only use vinegar for outdoor windows or mix a couple drops of essential oils to counteract the smell.
For cleaning, HP recommends using HP Equipment Cleaning Wipes, but you can use an HP-approved lint-free wipe and deionized or distilled water. Note: If dark spots appear on back side of prints, clean drum screen. Note: If minilab prints more than 2000 prints each day, clean drum screen up to twice daily.
Clean the scanner glass and parts. Fingerprints, smudges, dust, or debris on the scanner glass, under the scanner lid, or in the document feed slot can cause lines and color bands. Clean these parts with a soft, lint-free cloth sprayed with glass cleaner.
A printer printing lines on the page are normally caused by a blocked, dirty, or damaged print head. Blocked ink cartridge nozzles, or not removing protective seals correctly when you installed a new ink cartridge can also cause missing lines of print.
This can be caused by debris or contamination on the drum, the transfer corotron, the device not positioned properly on a solid flat, level surface, or by using old or damp paper.

Use an activated toner cloth, stretched tautly, and carefully wipe down the drum exterior to remove loose toner. Then use a cotton ball saturated with 99% pure isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Clean any patches of stubborn toner still attached to the drum. Use toner cloth or lint-free microfiber to clean the print rollers.
Step Three: Cleaning
After you have removed the chunks of toner, dip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol. Carefully wipe off any dirty areas visible on the drum. If the drum unit is dirty, apply some rubbing alcohol onto your lint-free cloth and carefully wipe the body of the drum unit.

Otherwise use a printer head cleaning solution recipe of 50% water and 50% rubbing alcohol. We also like a homemade printhead cleaning solution that is 8-parts Windex to 2-parts rubbing alcohol. This printer head cleaning fluid works like a charm and it`s cheap to make!
You can clean the printhead either manually or from your printer or computer. Before you start, you`ll want to perform a nozzle check to ensure your printhead needs cleaning, as this will save ink.
Can printers print white ink? Unfortunately, standard laser and inkjet printers are unable to print using white ink. Most standardised printers will mix cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks to create the colours that you print but white has no hue, so it cannot be achieved by mixing inks.
Hold a piece of lens tissue above the mirror and place a few drops of acetone on the paper. Lower the lens tissue onto the optic and pull it over the surface. Note that the dry part of the tissue helps remove acetone residue. Repeat the above step until the optic is clean.
