Issue: One or more of the Ink Alert lights are on or blinking. This condition occurs when one or more of the ink cartridges needs attention or is faulty, incorrect, missing, damaged, incompatible, or empty and needs to be replaced before printing can continue.
Are you wondering why my printer is showing orange light? It indicates firmware issues, paper jams, or improperly installed cartridges. Resolve it by performing a power reset of your printer.
Light bar glows purple at outside edges and blinks amber in the center. This occurs when the printer experiences an error while connecting with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). Press and hold the Wireless button on the back of the printer for five seconds to reset the wireless connection, and then set it up with WPS again.

The printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode. If the Information button blinks, press the Information button to connect to the wireless network.
Install an appropriate canon ink cartridge. If the lamp on the ink tank is flashing, ink may have run out. Replacing the ink tank is recommended.
Ink may have run out (The lamp on the ink tank flashes). If printing is in progress, you are recommended to stop printing, replace the ink tank, and then print again.
The Status light stays yellow and on steady (not flashing) normally to indicate that there is data remaining in the printer`s memory. Press the GO button once to print the remaining data in memory.
Orange color light on the charging port means that your notebook is charging and White color means it charged fully.
The Power button is blinking. This condition might be caused by an open ink cartridge access door, an empty input tray, a paper jam, or a carriage jam. An error message might display on your computer. If a `paper jam` error message displays on your computer, try the steps to clear the paper jam.
The blinking power light indicates that the unit has a cartridge problem. There could be several reasons for this: 1. Incorrect, defective or swapped cartridges.
The power light is on or flashing. The ink light is flashing. Ink in a cartridge is low. You can continue printing, or check which cartridge is low and replace it.
Click the start menu and search for `Devices and Printers`. Select devices and printers in the search bar. This will allow you to see the printers connected to the computer. Click the printer you want to check, and you`ll see the ink levels at the bottom of the devices and printers section.

Fast blinking power lights indicate that there might be an error with the printer. The flashing resume light is the indicator that the paper jam or an empty paper tray. Due to the broken parts of the printer or any internal error, the printer light starts blinking.
The Wireless light blinks when the printer is attempting to connect to the wireless router or access point. Wait a few minutes, and then check the light again. If the Wireless light is on and steady, the printer is connected and you can stop troubleshooting.
