Make sure the printer is near the Wi-Fi router, paper is loaded in the main tray, and that it is turned on. On your Windows computer, open Printers & Scanners and delete the printer. Open the HP Smart app, and sign in. If you do not have HP Smart, download it from 123.hp.com or your app store, and create an HP account.
Click the WiFi button on the printer and select Restore Network Settings, confirm and prompt. Click the Setup (Wrench icon) and select Tools, then Restore Defaults and confirm any prompt. Turn the printer off and back on. Open the HP Officejet 4620 software and follow the steps to connect a wireless printer.

Check for Loose Cables and Network Connection
A temporary power outage, even one that lasts only a few seconds, could have been enough to knock your wireless router off the network. Rebooting or otherwise resetting the modem or router should fix the problem and bring the printer back online.
Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives. With the AC adapter unplugged, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.

A wireless printer will still need a USB cable in case it needs to print in a location where Wi-Fi would not be available. Having a printer without a wire connection option can lessen the printer`s marketability.
Connect the printer power cord to the printer and turn the printer back on. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router. Wait 10 seconds before reconnecting it. It may take a few minutes for your internet to come back on.
