just GOTO settings > printer properties of your printer > preferences>paper quality >change the paper to A4 size . and restart the printer.
The common reasons for this issue are various, for instance, the paper input tray is overloaded, dust or moisture can affect the paper feed or paper pick rollers, the printer driver is old, etc. Thus, the printer cannot detect the paper that has been inserted into the tray.
Under Hardware and Sound, click Printer. Right-click your product, and then select Printing Preferences. From the Printing Preferences menu, select Paper/Quality. From the Paper Source drop-down menu, select Tray 2.
To resolve this issue, change the default paper size of your printer: Click Start, point to Settings, and the click Printers. Right-click the appropriate printer, and then click Properties. Click the Paper tab, and then click the paper size you want to use in the Paper Size box.
Sometimes paper can get stuck behind the tray and get stuck in the sensors and arms that detect paper size and detection. You can remove the tray completely from the machine and look at the feed unit and rollers and make sure there is no obstruction or paper stuck.
Check the tray selected in the print driver. Access the page setup or printer settings of the application from which you are printing. Set the paper source to match the tray selected in the print driver or set the paper source to Automatically Select. Check that you have the latest print driver installed.
Tray 2 lift error can be caused by a damaged, dislodged cartridge contact in the body of the printer, which would explain why multiple cartridges do not solve the problem. Open the cartridge door, remove the cartridge and inspect the contacts on the left side, they should look the same as the picture below.
This issue is caused when the pickup roller is dislodged or not installed correctly. The error message occurs due to the interference between the pickup roller and the lift plate in the paper input unit.
When the printer tells you to load tray 1 it means the size and or type of paper being asked by the print job does not match the same that the printer thinks it has in the tray.
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
For HP Laser printers, click the Paper tab, click the Original Size drop-down, and then make sure the paper size matches the type of paper loaded into the printer. Click the Output Size drop-down, select Same as Original Size, and then click OK.
Improve printer performance by selecting the optimum paper type for the tray. You can select from the following paper types: Tray 1. [Thin Paper], [Thick Paper 1], [Thick Paper 2], [Plain Paper], [Recycled Paper], [Color Paper], [Preprinted], [Prepunched], [Letterhead], [Bond Paper], [Cardstock], [Label Paper]
Slide the paper all the way into the printer. The leading edge of the paper will stop at the Paper Drive Roller. Locate the Paper Sensor/OOPs sensor on the right side of the paper path. It can be seen from the top of the printer with the Top Cover open and has red, black, and blue wires attached to it.
The most common cause of this issue is paper misalignment. Make sure you properly insert the papers in the tray and avoid overfilling the tray. If this doesn`t solve the problem, check the troubleshooting section of the printer`s user manual.
Paper Overloading

Because many desktop inkjet printers are top-loading, it can be easy to overload the tray.

Open the item you want to print, click File > Page Setup. Select Manage Custom Sizes from the Paper Size menu to open the Custom Paper Sizes window. Click the plus sign to create a new paper size.
An E2 error occurs when the printer attempts to print a single-page or multi-page print job, and the paper length selected in the print settings does not match the length of the loaded paper.
Turn off your printer and unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug your printer back in, and then turn the printer back on.
The flag located right of the pick-up roller has a fixed position. If the flag becomes stuck or broken, it will produce a 60.02 tray lift error or a “LOAD PAPER” message.
Bend your hips and knees to squat down to your load, keep it close to your body, and straighten your legs to lift. Never lift a heavy object above shoulder level. Avoid turning or twisting your body while lifting or holding a heavy object.
HP Printer Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M477fnw 60-02 error. A 60.2 error is a tray lift error for tray 2. This can be caused by an issue with tray 2 lift mechanism, a broken tray 2 or something jammed that is preventing the tray from lifting properly.
Paper is housed in the printer`s paper tray, and most trays can be found along the bottom of the printer. There is usually a small notch on the face of the tray that pulls out so you can insert the paper. Within the paper tray, you will notice a guide that can be adjusted to fit your preferred paper length.
Ultimately, the easiest explanation of what a dual tray printer is, is that it`s a laser printer that has two different paper trays. One paper tray will be standard letter size, 8″ x 11.5″ and the other tray will be 8″ x 14″, legal paper size.

HP Laserjet 2200, Tray 2 Pickup Problem, Gears Clicking
ANSWER : Definitely not a solenoid problem. I’ve worked on tens of thousands of printers and never replaced a single solenoid. You probably knocked something loose when you installed the pickup roller. Maybe something to do with the gear on the end of the pickup roller shaft. You’ll need to take the gear assembly off to be able to see it.

Paper jam in tray 2 (but no paper pulled from tray) also M476DN models
ANSWER : Isopropyl alcohol is not recommended for rubber rollers. It dries out the rubber and hasten it’s cracking and breaking. It will do nothing to restore the grip. Those rollers are really hard to replace. It would be easy if that dumbass secondary menu really worked. None of the techs I’ve spoke to ever got into it. Everyone I know sends a print job and listens for the roller to rotate into position where you can pull it off.

Laserjet M603DN tray 2 not lifting
ANSWER : I had a similar issue with a M602, though it’s the previous generation machine they are close in design. This one kept saying tray 2 lifting but there was not a sound of the motor even trying. My first thoughts were replace the lift motor then DC controller but it was replacing the formatter that fixed it after other parts made no difference.

Tray 1 (upper tray) paper feed problem
ANSWER : There is no way of adjusting the distance of lift. Could be that the pickup roller is worn enough that it will pick up a sheet that is higher, but not one that is lower down. You can look at the end of the roller that first makes contact and see if it is worn smooth.
