How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Streaking is usually caused by a worn out drum unit or spent toner cartridge. Drum units are a consumable and only need to be replaced after the use of 3 or 4 toners. Not all printers use a separate toner and drum unit.
The streaks or lines might be caused due to low ink levels in one or both ink cartridges. Check the ink levels using the HP Toolbox to determine if the ink cartridges are low on ink and need to be replaced. note: Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only.
Dust, paper fiber, and other debris might accumulate on the paper feed rollers and cause paper jams and paper feed issues. Clean the rollers inside the printer, and then try to print again.
Streaks and unwanted lines could mean that the printer heads are out of alignment. There`s an alignment tool in the printer`s control panel. If that`s not the issue then the printer is dirty. Printer ink stripes may appear along the edges of the paper, which means there`s ink on the rollers and other parts.
Loading paper that is stuck together, frayed, curled or bent can cause a jam. Overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer can all result in a jammed printer.
If your printer won`t print, a print job has stopped unexpectedly, or you received a “carriage jam” error, your printer carriage is likely jammed. These jams occur when the carriage holding the ink cartridges stalls in the printer. Carriage jams sometimes occur after a paper jam.
A printer printing lines on the page are normally caused by a blocked, dirty, or damaged print head. Blocked ink cartridge nozzles, or not removing protective seals correctly when you installed a new ink cartridge can also cause missing lines of print.
When your printer leaves black lines, the lines indicate that there are excess toner powders on the rollers or transfer belt within the printer. As the paper is moved along by the rollers and transfer belt, any excess powder left on them can result in lines being left on the paper.
A paper jam is when paper or other printed material gets stuck or lodged in a printer and cannot eject.
For cleaning, HP recommends using HP Equipment Cleaning Wipes, but you can use an HP-approved lint-free wipe and deionized or distilled water. Note: If dark spots appear on back side of prints, clean drum screen. Note: If minilab prints more than 2000 prints each day, clean drum screen up to twice daily.
White lines will typically start appearing on your print outs due to a clogged up printer head. Your first port of call when solving this problem is to run the cleaning program on your printer, which should be accessible through its settings menu.
These jams occur when the carriage holding the ink cartridges stalls in the printer. Carriage jams sometimes occur after a paper jam. Our automated Virtual Assistant is the fastest way to diagnose and solve carriage jam issues in HP printers such as DeskJet, OfficeJet, PhotoSmart, ENVY, and other models.
Smears and smudges on the paper can be caused by dirt, dust, or toner accumulated on the rollers or transfer belt as it passes through the paper. Cleaning your printer, particularly the rollers, is one of the options for removing black markings from paper.
If your laser printer is causing horizontal black lines you either have a problem with the optics or the drum. Cleaning the optics and replacing the drum should fix the problem in most cases.
Print a cleaning page to remove dust and excess toner from the paper path if you are having any of the following problems: Specks of toner are on the printed pages. Toner is smearing on the printed pages.
The sponge end of a blocked printer head can be cleaned with only one liquid other than water. This liquid is isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol isn`t strong enough to melt the sponge but is still strong enough to dissolve the ink inside the blocked printer head.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
If the [ ] indicator is blinking, a paper jam occurs inside the printer. Follow the procedures in this section to remove the jammed paper. Use caution to avoid cutting your hands.
It`s important to replace the drum promptly when it`s low to avoid any further damage to the printer and to maintain optimal print quality. A bad drum may cause paper jams because it can cause the toner to be unevenly distributed on the paper, leading to jams or misfeeds.
It means you`ve traded Snaps with someone for at least 3 straight days. A Snapchat Streak (Snapstreak) means you have exchanged (both sent and received) Snaps with a person on your Friends list for at least 3 consecutive “days” (24-hour periods).
Every time you repeat this action, the neural pathway grows stronger, and the information becomes more familiar. Streaks are a robust repetition tool. They reward you each time you complete an action, meaning you`re more likely to keep doing it. After a while, this new routine will become a new habit.
Use an activated toner cloth, stretched tautly, and carefully wipe down the drum exterior to remove loose toner. Then use a cotton ball saturated with 99% pure isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Clean any patches of stubborn toner still attached to the drum. Use toner cloth or lint-free microfiber to clean the print rollers.
The drum unit is an electrically charged cylinder that fuses that toner powder onto paper to create text and images. Both of these components are essential for producing a print.

Paper Jam error but no paper jam
ANSWER : Obviously you didn’t get all the paper cleared out. There is a small scrap in the paper path causing the jam when the paper hits it. You can try clearing it out by inserting something stiff like a piece of file folder from the back of the printer into the paper path and pushing the offending piece out that way.
