Print density is the measurement of light reflected off of the substrate, or how dark the print appears after each press strike. When looking at the definition of print density it is easy to see how the materials that come in direct contact with the printing surface play a crucial role in print density quality.
To do this, right-click the product icon, and click Properties. Click the Device Settings tab, and find the Print Density section. If you are experiencing any issues in the following list, adjust the setting. If the printout has areas of gray shading or a gray background, decrease the print density setting.
Here are the most common causes of a printer printing faded text or images: Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings.
You can increase print density to darken your prints on plain paper. This is especially useful when you print with the built-in basic driver, which does not include density adjustment settings. Note: Increasing density may reduce print speed. From the home screen, select Menu and press the OK button.
Click on the drop-down menu under the “Paper type” or “Media type” heading. Select the “Cardstock” or “Matte” option — whichever paper type you have — to set it to the thick paper setting. Click “OK.”
Printers may produce poor quality printing if they are exposed to too much heat. Don`t place your printers in a high-temperature area or near other devices that produce excess heat. In addition, keep them away from windows, where heat and humidity can be high.
The density setting can be adjusted from 1 to 5, with 3 the default. The lower the setting the lower the amount of toner used. There might also be device specific settings which are described in the applicable Product User Guide.
A common cause of faded, faint printouts from your inkjet printer is dried ink particles causing a blockage in your printer. The printheads on an ink cartridge can be become blocked if the printer is not used for a period of time, so it is recommended to print a few pages each month to maintain the print quality.
The High-Density Screen Printing process. The High-Density Screen Printing Process of printing a T-shirt is the process in which we use a thick layer of emulsion to create a higher print. This is a great method is usually used for special effects on designs and to make your design pop!

Density is the most basic measurement of the mechanical characteristics of print. Reflective density is calculated from the amount of light that is reflected from the substrate (paper, film, etc.) and the ink. It is a simple way to evaluate changes in the ink film thickness or ink concentration that is being laid down.

Print file sent but no printing occurs
ANSWER : Been working on these since they first were released. Never seen a problem like yours. If it happens again, try doing an engine test, as it bypasses the formatter board. The engine test is located at the right side of the manual tray opening. Look for a hole in the side wall. Stick something like a paper clip into it to actuate the test button. It will then print a lined test page. If it does that, then it points to the formatter board as the cause of your problem.
