“Manual Feed” is an indication that your machine`s Tray Setting or the paper source in the printer driver has been set to Manual Feed, but there`s no paper loaded in the manual feed slot.

The manual feed slot is located on the front of your printer. It can be closed when not in use, making the product more compact. Use the manual feed slot to print transparencies, labels, envelopes or postcards in addition to making quick runs of paper types or sizes that are not currently loaded in the paper tray.

Using both hands, put one piece of paper in the manual feed slot until the front edge of the paper touches the paper feed roller. Once the machine has grasped the paper, let go. The side to be printed should be faced up. The machine will hold the paper in place until the print data is sent to the machine.

Click: `Open the HP Photosmart Toolbox` or: `Service this device` Click: Device Services tab. Click: Calibrate the Device or Clean the Print Cartridges or Align the printer. Follow the instruction which will appear on-screen.

Manual feeding means feeding wherein the material or part being processed is handled by the operator on each stroke of the press.

In Devices and Printers, open the Printer Properties. In the Ports tab, change the port setting to a different USB Virtual Printer Port.

The output bin is a bin on the printer where printed jobs are delivered. Users can use the input-tray and output-bin job attributes to specify a tray name, such as 3-hole and a bin name, such as staple .

Dust, paper fiber, and other debris might accumulate on the pick rollers and cause paper feed issues. To help prevent paper feed issues, clean the rollers inside the printer and in the duplexer (if equipped). If the other steps in this document fail to resolve the issue, then reset the printer.

There are different methods of paper feeding. With dot matrix printers, paper is often feed through pins on a wheel that grab and slowly move paper through the printer. With inkjet and other page printers, paper is fed through the printer with rollers that grab and move the paper through the printer.

Use the operator panel on the printer to enter the menus. Locate the Paper Menu and select that menu. Locate the Paper Size/Type setting and select that. Find and select MP Feeder or Multipurpose Feeder and select that.

There are a few things that could be the cause of this problem, including: Empty ink or toner cartridges that need replacing. Ink or toner cartridges that have become dislodged from their proper place. The wrong paper size loaded in the input tray.

A front loading printer is the most common form of laser printer, the media tray or cassette will usually be located at the bottom of the printer and will feed the media in from the front.

The paper might not be engaged with the feed rollers. The paper-width guide is pressed against the paper stack too tightly. The paper tray is not completely inserted into the product. The paper settings in the print driver do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.
