Most common cause of this error on this model of printer is broken cartridge retainer locks. If you remove all the cartridges and close the door slowly you will see the locks drop down, there are locks on both sides.
This error is primarily caused by a transfer alienation failure in which the ITB is stuck and unable to rotate, the SR9 sensor (the primary transfer roller disengagement sensor) has gone bad or the fuser drive assembly has failed.
This error indicates a RAM failure. The specific memory is internal memory not one of the dimm slots. You can try removing any additional memory first to see if the device will boot but likely this is a failure of the formatter and you would need to replace the formatter.

If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
Common causes include dust and grime, worn rollers, or inappropriately weighted paper. Prevent paper jams by regularly cleaning your printer and replacing parts as needed. Check the weight of paper that your printer is rated for as well. The printed product is faded.
