If you see the error message “50.2 Fuser Error” on your HP Color LaserJet CP2025 series printer, you probably need to replace the fuser. Fusers are a consumable part and it is expected over the life of the printer you will replace the fuser several times.

This error is primarily caused by a transfer alienation failure in which the ITB is stuck and unable to rotate, the SR9 sensor (the primary transfer roller disengagement sensor) has gone bad or the fuser drive assembly has failed.

Make sure the printer is on and connected to your computer. Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads, and then enter your printer model. Select Firmware from the list of drivers, click Download next to the update, and then follow the instructions.

The message `Fuser Error` or `Self-Diagnostic` means either the fuser has reached the maximum temperature allowed or there has been an error in detection of the correct temperature during specific times of the printing process.

This error is primarily caused by one of the following conditions: A transfer alienation failure in which the ITB is stuck and unable to properly engage the internal transfer rollers. The SR9 sensor (the primary transfer roller disengagement sensor) has gone bad. The fuser drive assembly has failed.

This is usually caused by a misplaced pick-roller cover located in the right door. If the pick-roller cover gets dislodged, it will obstruct the movement of one of the sensors causing the “13.20. 00” error. Check if the pick roller cover is open.

Essentially, it is the code that tells the printer what to do and how to do it. Printer manufacturers roll out firmware updates from time to time to keep their printers functioning correctly and efficiently. These updates can fix bugs, strengthen security, and add new features.

Firmware updates can be manually downloaded from your printer`s display screen or if you turn on the automatic updates setting on your printer, updates will regularly download onto your printer when they`re available. Some firmware updates may affect the use of low-cost compatible cartridges.

Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.

A fuser unit is a pair of heated rollers within the printer that fuses the toner onto the paper being printed on. Toner particles are pulled to the paper to create the desired text and images as the paper passes the imaging drum.

Any of these error codes (51.20 51.21 51.22 51.23) points to a failure with one of the laser scanner assemblies on the HP Color LaserJet 4610 an 4650 series. To solve these error codes, replace the corresponding laser scanner.
