Make sure the printer is turned on, and Wi-Fi is enabled. If your printer does not support Wi-Fi, or is using a wired connection, make sure the Ethernet cable or connecting cable is firmly plugged into your printer. Make sure the printer and computer are connected to the same network. Disconnect the network.
The printer could be dirty. Solution: Arrange to have your printer cleaned. The toner cartridge may be nearly empty. Solution: Replace the toner cartridge.
Most printers will stop working when they`re out of paper, ink or toner, or if the unit detects an issue with the ink or toner cartridge. When this occurs, you might receive an error message or notice blinking green or amber lights on your printer.
Instead of adding the printer to the existing network, you may attempt to print via Wi-Fi Direct. In case this does not work as well and you refuse to use HP Smart, it`s on you to bring the right drivers and install them manually.
On the control panel, open the Setup, Service, or Settings menu. Select Preferences, Printer Maintenance, or Tools. Select Web Services, Printer Update, or LaserJet Update. If prompted, follow the instructions to turn on Web Services.
Turn the product on while you press and hold the Resume button for 10-20 seconds. The Attention light turns on. Release the Resume button. The Attention and Ready lights cycle while the product restores factory defaults.
1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper
Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
The average lifespan of a printer is from three to five years max. However, the lifespan of laser printers is more than inkjet printers. Usually, inkjet printer life expectancy is three years or less but the laser printer runs more than that of inkjets i.e five years or more.
