How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
Restart devices

If your printer connects to a Wi-Fi network, disconnect your computer or mobile device from the network name (SSID), and then reconnect it to the same network name your printer is connected to. If the printer is available and has a ready status, the issue is resolved.

Open HP Smart app, click your printer, click Printers in the top menu bar, and then click Diagnose & Fix. Follow the instructions if any issues are found. If you still can`t print, remove and re-add the printer.
Switch off and restart the printer.

Sometimes this is all that`s needed to solve this. If there are any jobs in the queue that can`t be shifted, a restart should flush these out. Now try and print. More often than not, this should resolve the problem.

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & scanners . Make sure your printer is turned on and connected. Then select the Add device (or Refresh) button. Please wait a moment while Windows searches for the printers that are connected to the device (locally or wirelessly).
You will receive a prompt telling you to touch the checkmark on your printer display; if your printer does not have a touch screen, press the Information button on the printer. HP Smart will confirm when the printer is connected to the wireless network.
1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper

Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.

Instead of adding the printer to the existing network, you may attempt to print via Wi-Fi Direct. In case this does not work as well and you refuse to use HP Smart, it`s on you to bring the right drivers and install them manually.
In general, use isopropyl alcohol and a lint free cloth or swab — the alcohol evaporates quickly without leaving residue. If the print nozzles are clogged, you might have a more involved cleaning procedure ahead of you.
Common factors include driver problems, software issues, hardware failures and overuse.
Inkjet Printers Can Have Low Print Quality

Don`t get us wrong—inkjet printers actually usually shine in the print-quality department in comparison to their laser companions. Where they may have trouble is print text-rich documents, especially if the ink is running low or the print heads are clogged.

E0 can be caused by an incoming power issues, such as a low voltage condition or excessive power consumption. On occasion this can be resolved by unplugging the unit for 10 minutes.
An E1 or E2 error indicates that the paper size setting does not match the paper size that is loaded.
The three main factors that influence the design of error messages are technical limitations, the amount of information to be presented, and what kind of user input is required.
a misprint or misspelling in a text.
Open Command Prompt by pressing the Windows key and typing cmd. Type netstat -r. Press Enter. You will now be able to see a list of network devices connected to your computer and your printer`s IP.
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
You may see a “printer offline” error if your computer can`t communicate with your printer. This can be caused by loose cable connections or an outdated printer driver or operating system. The HP Smart app (below) can automatically diagnose and resolve printer offline issues in Windows operating systems.
If you try to use the printer after it has been out of use for a long time, it may not print properly even if head cleaning is carried out several times. If this is the case, carry out head flushing. If the print heads are still clogged, leave the printer for about ten minutes, and then print the nozzle check pattern.
Verify the ink cartridge(s) is inserted properly. Some cartridges snap in place, and if they are not inserted fully, the printer won`t print anything. If a lever is moved from its original position to allow for installation of ink cartridges, ensure it is returned to its original position.
Check to make sure the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device. To find out if your printer is connected to Wi-Fi, see if your printer`s built-in menu has options for checking its Wi-Fi connection, or check the printer`s manual for instructions about how to add it to a Wi-Fi network.
In keeping with the times, new printers come preinstalled with software designed to make printing a breeze from a range of different tablets and smartphones. Many newer models don`t even require additional apps or software to work; you can just print directly using Apple`s AirPrint or Google Print technology.
If you disable your printer`s memory chip from collecting your printer usage information, you can continue using your printer even if the toner or ink is finished. So you want to inspect your printer`s ink level at interval by removing it to avoid your ink running out!
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
