This condition occurs when paper is jammed inside the printer. To resolve the error, find and clear the printer of any jammed paper, or reset the printer if the printer has no jammed paper.
Status Indicator light glows solid red
The printer is in an error state. Disconnect the power cord or power bank from the printer, and then wait 30 seconds.
Status indicator light:
A blue or green light indicates the printer is operating correctly, while a red light indicates an error has occurred. A system error has occurred.
If your HP laptop has a removable battery, remove it and reinsert it after a few seconds. Sometimes, a faulty connection can cause the power light to blink. If you can access a spare battery, try swapping it to see if the issue persists.
Some parts of the printer are broken, or there`s an internal error with the device. You need to restart your printer if you notice the `Resume` light and the Power light blinking together. There`s an improper connection. A flashing `Resume` light can also indicate a paper jam.
Ink in a cartridge is low. You can continue printing, or check which cartridge is low and replace it. An ink cartridge is expended or not installed correctly. Replace or reinstall the cartridge.
Faulty Display Settings
Improper display settings can also cause your computer screen to blink on and off. Your laptop`s screen flickers because the refresh rate, resolution, or color depth settings aren`t ideal. You can adjust the settings to see if it solves the issue.
Just above the circuit board on most printer cartridges, you`ll find a small button. You`ve seen these tiny buttons before on cell phones, phone chargers, etc. This is your reset button, and the only way to get in there is either with a paper clip or the tip of a pen (which will leave a tiny ink smudge on the button).
The Power light blinks fast when the ink cartridge door is open, or the printer is in an error state. If an error message displays on the computer or mobile device, follow any steps to resolve the issue. If the ink cartridge door is open, close it.
