Wipe the print-head lenses with a lint-free cloth. Avoid touching the lens with your bare hands because the dirt and oil on your fingers can decrease print quality.
With your dry, clean cloth or toner cloth, wipe clean the areas you can reach. For nooks and crannies, a soft, long-haired brush can dislodge toner and dust. Be careful not to damage anything. Always have the printer turned off and unplugged and use extreme care.
Why is it important to clean a laser printer? Printing is vital to all businesses so ensuring your laser printer is thoroughly cleaned is crucial as it allows your machine to continue working efficiently. Cleaning a laser printer is easy with the correct equipment, however they are prone to dust and debris.
Soak the Printhead
Fill a bowl with warm water (or a mixture of water and vinegar to clean the printhead) and place the printhead directly in it. Let it sit for five minutes or so. Pull the printhead out of the water and use a lint-free cloth or paper towel to remove the dried ink.
The sponge end of a blocked printer head can be cleaned with only one liquid other than water. This liquid is isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol isn`t strong enough to melt the sponge but is still strong enough to dissolve the ink inside the blocked printer head.
You can buy a specialty printhead cleaner kit with a cleaning solution, but it`s not really necessary. For water based inks, a soap and water solution will suffice (half a cup of distilled water with a drop of dishwashing liquid and an ounce of isopropyl alcohol).
Use mild soap and water to clean the laser machine exterior and follow with a hospital-grade disinfectant. Use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth to avoid scratching or damaging the surface during cleaning and disinfecting. Avoid cleaning with alcohol.
A print head scratch occurs when an accumulation of dust or debris gets stuck in your machine. And if this happens, the damage cannot be fixed. In most cases, you would need to purchase a new printhead. That`s why it`s important to keep the dust out, away from your machine.
Step Three: Cleaning
After you have removed the chunks of toner, dip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol. Carefully wipe off any dirty areas visible on the drum. If the drum unit is dirty, apply some rubbing alcohol onto your lint-free cloth and carefully wipe the body of the drum unit.
Otherwise use a printer head cleaning solution recipe of 50% water and 50% rubbing alcohol. We also like a homemade printhead cleaning solution that is 8-parts Windex to 2-parts rubbing alcohol. This printer head cleaning fluid works like a charm and it`s cheap to make!
Isopropyl Alcohol / Aerosol Spry Duster: Sometimes known as rubbing alcohol, isopropyl alcohol is ideal for cleaning mechanical equipment as it quickly evaporates leaving no fluid behind. Use this to ensure no residue is left behind after cleaning.

black will not print after cleaning the nozzle head 5 times
ANSWER : There’s way to clear your print head. Go to Youtube site of Jose Rodriquez. He’s got a video on just about every aspect of printing. Put something like a folded shop towel, spray it with Windex, no deodorants etc. just the original Windex, no ammonia D, and some alcohol (not rubbing alcohol but 90 percent or some such). Fold towel into a strip about and inch and a half or so and put it in the cup like trough that the print head follows when printing. Start printer. Let printer just begin. When head moves out of the dock, and unplug the printer. Now you can move head manually. Maneuver head over the towel. Leave it overnight. You may need to do this many times. I had about given up when my print head cleared up. I think you need to see Jose’s video, then you’ll understand better. If you can’t find it or you need more help, feel free to email me. There are other resources, but I wouldn’t go for commercial cleaning kits. That’s just me. And I’m leery of trying to put pressure through the head. I hope this helps. It’s kind of brief. There is a man I found who had written almost a book on the subject. He’s not anxious for his name to be given out however.

Print Quality Issue (Streaks and Ghosting)
ANSWER : Streaks are mostly caused by internal drum wiper blades that clean left over toner off the drum to prepare it for a new image. Ghosting is caused by a leftover image on the drum. The 6 inches that you mention would be the circumference of the part that is causing it. Fusers will never cause either problem.
