There may be several reasons behind the issue, such as empty ink cartridges, Clogged Print Head Nozzles, and Incorrect Print Settings. There may be a fault in the settings of Color Management as well. You can fix it via Running a Nozzle Check or enabling the Print Settings to Color or Replacing the Ink Cartridges.
Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. The ink cartridges may be old or low on ink, and you may need to replace them. Your printed colors can never exactly match your on-screen colors.
Use Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) cleaning solution to clean printer exterior effectively and safely to avoid any printer damage.
The sponge end of a blocked printer head can be cleaned with only one liquid other than water. This liquid is isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol isn`t strong enough to melt the sponge but is still strong enough to dissolve the ink inside the blocked printer head.
The Power Cleaning utility allows you to replace all of the ink inside the ink tubes. In the following situations, you may need to use this feature to improve the print quality. You printed or performed head cleaning when the ink levels were too low to be seen in the ink tank windows.
Clean the Print Head Nozzles. If print quality has declined and the nozzle check pattern indicates clogged nozzles, you can clean the print head. Note: You cannot clean the print head if an ink cartridge is expended, and may not be able to clean it when a cartridge is low. You must replace the cartridge first.
If the nozzle check page does not print satisfactorily, you may need to repeat the head cleaning and print the nozzle check pattern again. If print quality hasn`t improved after repeating this procedure four or five times, turn the printer off and leave it alone overnight.
Access the printer settings. Click the Main tab, and then make suitable settings. Select plain papers or Envelope as the Paper Type setting. Select Grayscale as the Color setting.
If your Epson printer is printing out faint images, skipping lines, or is streaking your image with lines, chances are you have a clogged nozzle–a common problem many users have with Epson printers. It`s unavoidable that print heads clog over time as small amounts of ink residue dry up and collect in the nozzles.
Regular cleanings will extend the life of your printer and its printhead. Keeping the moving parts clean inside your printer will prevent ribbon breakage. Ensure your printer warranty stays valid by regularly cleaning the printer. Image quality will be maintained as cleanings prevent resin build-up on the rollers.
Over time dirt and dust accumulate inside the printer, which affects it`s functionality. Cleaning a printer regularly can prevent a low print quality or damage to the device.
If you`ve removed the print head unit, soak in a bowl of shallow water for around five minutes. This will loosen any dried ink. Dab the print head unit on a paper towel to remove any ink and moisture. Make sure it is completely dry before inserting back into the printer.
About 1.1ml ink is consumed for one print head by one normal cleaning. About 0.6ml ink is consumed for one color when put purge button for 4 seconds. About 1.1ml ink is consumed for one print head by one normal cleaning.
Running a Power Cleaning consumes a lot of ink, so you should run it only if necessary. Make sure each ink tank is at least one-third full before running a Power Cleaning, or it may damage the product.

Press and hold the power button and the help button at the same time until the Power Cleaning screen appears on the LCD screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the Power Cleaning. When the Power Cleaning is finished, run a nozzle check.
If you still see white or dark lines or missing nozzles in your printouts, even after cleaning the print head several times, you can run a Power Cleaning. If you do not see improvement after running a Power Cleaning, turn off the product and wait at least 12 hours before running another Power Cleaning.
If you`re still experiencing quality issues or printhead errors, then there may be other problems at play. Before taking any other actions, it`s recommended that you clean the printhead and ink cartridges four or five more times.
Dried Ink Buildup on the Printhead
If the print cleaning cycle doesn`t work, dried ink may be the culprit. Take the printhead out and wipe the nozzles clean to remove any buildup. Depending on the model of your printer, this may be difficult—some printheads are harder to remove than others.
Printers may produce poor quality printing if they are exposed to too much heat. Don`t place your printers in a high-temperature area or near other devices that produce excess heat. In addition, keep them away from windows, where heat and humidity can be high.
Monitors use RGB whereas printers use CMYK. This means that RGB colour mode is best for digital designs, while CMYK is best for print materials. You can switch your colour guide to CMYK, but it still won`t be an exact representation of your printed product as the colours can depend on the printer.
Both of these color modes mix colors to create different color possibilities. The main difference is what they are generally used for in design: RGB is the color mode best for digital designs and CMYK is best for printing.
CMYK is a four-color process and stands for cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black), and is preferred for use on printed materials because it helps achieve a true color.
