Here are the most common causes of a printer printing faded text or images: Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings.
If you are using a USB connection, make sure that the cable is properly connected. If your printer is connected via wireless network, verify that the wireless connection is working. If all seems fine, restart the printer and try again. If the Konica printer is offline, the error can be caused by faulty printer drivers.
A common cause of faded, faint printouts from your inkjet printer is dried ink particles causing a blockage in your printer. The printheads on an ink cartridge can be become blocked if the printer is not used for a period of time, so it is recommended to print a few pages each month to maintain the print quality.
First, check your printer settings on the file or picture your trying to print. If your page is setup to print in “grayscale” it will only print in black and white. Change the setting to “default” so it will print in color. If your settings look good from the start, the cartridge may just need to be primed.
CMYK and RGB are acronyms that refer to color models used to create images and files. CMYK color mode is used for printing. The RGB color mode is used to display images that are intended to be viewed on computer monitors and screens only.
[Select Color] Select colors for printing. [Auto Color]: The color mode is automatically selected according to the original color. [Full Color] (PS only): The original is printed in full color regardless of whether the original is in color or in black and white.
Check the ink levels Sometimes, the printer may not print black ink because it is low or empty. You can check the ink levels on the printer`s display, or by using the software that came with your printer. If the ink level is low, replace the cartridge or refill it according to the manufacturer`s instructions.
Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
Incorrect heat settings If the heat settings are too low, the opposite will happen and you will have a faded image. Having the correct heat settings will make sure that your label is printed correctly, and remove potential problems in scanning and reading barcodes.
When designing for a printed format, the best color profile to use is CMYK, which uses the base colors of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (or Black).
If a fuser unit is not heating the toner powder correctly, ghost images can appear when printing. You can check to see if the fuser unit or drum unit is causing the ghosting by having a look at the ghosted images.
In the [Advanced Settings] dialog box, select [List of Settings] [Toner Density] [Adjust] → click [Details]. Adjust the density for each color → click [OK].
