Adjust the application settings and the printer settings to the highest possible resolution. Both of these features can typically be accessed from the “Print” menu. Dpi settings can range between 72 dpi and 2400 dpi. Choose the highest dpi setting available for best results when using a laser printer.
During the printing process, paper, toner, and dust particles can accumulate inside the printer. Over time, this buildup can cause print quality issues such as toner specks, smears, or marks. The printer has a cleaning mode that can correct and prevent print quality problems.
Here are the most common causes of a printer printing faded text or images: Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings.
Print a cleaning page to remove dust and excess toner from the paper path if you are having any of the following problems: Specks of toner are on the printed pages. Toner is smearing on the printed pages.
Generally, 300 DPI is great for small prints, while 600 DPI is amazing for large prints. If you`re scanning documents or photos to be used on the web or in emails, 300 dpi is more than enough. If you want to print large photos or blow them up to poster size, 600 dpi will give you better results.
For printing, the recommended resolution for all images and art files is 300 dpi. The offset press cannot accurately reproduce resolutions above 300, so it is the industry standard.
The task of quality control in a printing company such as PT XYZ is to check the incoming raw materials, the production process, and the finishing of the product with the specifications set by the customer and the capabilities of the company.
Vertical misalignment or banding. Incorrect or missing colors. Blurry or smeared printout. Printer rollers leave unwanted marks on your documents. Print quality does not improve after head cleaning.
Laser printers, on average, have a faster print speed than inkjet printers, and usually have a higher print quality. The most affordable models are more expensive than even budget inkjet models, but many people who print a lot find their strengths worth that premium.
Reasons why your HP printer has ink but won`t print

This may seem obvious, but it sometimes happens: first make sure your paper tray has paper in it. Misalignment, clogged printheads, faulty data communication or insufficient ink levels can also be sources of the problem.

A standard Print Head Cleaning cycle is done by clicking `Cleaning` on the Maintenance tab, then waiting a little bit until a message comes up; confirm it and click `Print Check Pattern. ` From this you can then tell what sort of Deep Clean you need to do by which lines (black or colour) are faded.
Print density is the measurement of light reflected off of the substrate, or how dark the print appears after each press strike. When looking at the definition of print density it is easy to see how the materials that come in direct contact with the printing surface play a crucial role in print density quality.
For cleaning, HP recommends using HP Equipment Cleaning Wipes, but you can use an HP-approved lint-free wipe and deionized or distilled water. Note: If dark spots appear on back side of prints, clean drum screen. Note: If minilab prints more than 2000 prints each day, clean drum screen up to twice daily.
Smears and smudges on the paper can be caused by dirt, dust, or toner accumulated on the rollers or transfer belt as it passes through the paper. Cleaning your printer, particularly the rollers, is one of the options for removing black markings from paper.
In the majority of cases, printers` self-cleaning mechanisms clean blocked printer heads by flushing the nozzles with air. The air works to dislodge dry ink inside the cartridge channels and also push it out.
The necessary DPI for print work depends on what you`re doing. 300 dpi is sufficient for a simple flyer or business letter. A professional photographer, however, may not want to consider anything below 1200 dpi. If people are not going to view your prints close-up, you can get away with a lower DPI.
Let`s say, for example, you want to make a 5” x 7” print (sometimes erroneously referred to as 5 x 7 pixels). A good quality print will require a resolution of 900 x 1260 pixels. For a better-quality print, use 1200 x 1680 pixels. Finally, for the best quality, you should go with 1500 x 2100 pixels.
1200 pixels / 4 inches = 300 dpi. 1200 pixels / 3 inches = 400 dpi.
What is a high resolution image? A high resolution image is one that`s at least 300 DPI, or “dots per inch.” As in – the printer spits out 300 little dots of ink for every inch of your photograph.
Print head cleaning consumes some ink. To avoid wasting ink, clean the print head only if print quality declines; for example, if the printout is blurry or the color is incorrect or missing.
Optimal image resolution for laser printing is 300 dpi. Optimal image resolution for computer screen display is 100 dpi. If the images need to printed for critical analysis – use print resolution. Otherwise screen resolution should be fine and will reduce the image file size by at least a factor of three.
To further clean up your PDF, use the ScanWritr`s eraser tool. Eraser tool allows you to remove unwanted text, shadows or background. Zoom in or zoom out the document and select thickness of the eraser to make deletion as accurate as possible. You can also revert your changes in case of any mistakes done while erasing.
When preparing images for print, the highest quality images are desired. The ideal file format choice for print is TIFF, followed closely by PNG.

Print file sent but no printing occurs
ANSWER : Been working on these since they first were released. Never seen a problem like yours. If it happens again, try doing an engine test, as it bypasses the formatter board. The engine test is located at the right side of the manual tray opening. Look for a hole in the side wall. Stick something like a paper clip into it to actuate the test button. It will then print a lined test page. If it does that, then it points to the formatter board as the cause of your problem.

Prints blank pages, won't print from computer
ANSWER : Don’t know why you replaced the fuser, but assuming you had print before, then it must have been something you did during the procedure. Only thing I can suggest is to recheck your work. Just because you reinstalled a connector doesn’t mean that it is seated firmly enough to work. Any flat ribbon connectors that you removed and reinstalled, check to see that the contacts are all flat and not peeled back.
