How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

The fuser unit or fuser is a critical part of any laser printer. Using pressure and heat, it fuses the toner powder onto the page to create a print, and without it, the printer cannot operate.
The fuser unit is a heated roller that melts the toner particles onto the page as it passes through. This seals the toner to the page so it`s no longer in powder form and makes sure that the toner doesn`t smudge of fall off the paper when it comes out of the printer.
Streaking, smudging, black lines, and double images are all symptoms of a bad fuser. When you notice these printing defects and experience problems, such as paper jams or wrinkles, this is a good sign to replace the fuser kit.
The message `Fuser Error` or `Self-Diagnostic` means either the fuser has reached the maximum temperature allowed or there has been an error in detection of the correct temperature during specific times of the printing process.
The fuser assembly is responsible for fusing the toner onto the paper. The fuser assembly consists of two rollers, a heat roller and a pressure roller. When the pressure roller becomes worn, it will become difficult to turn. When the fuser assembly can`t turn, it will cause a paper jam.

The fuser unit must be replaced every 100,000 pages, usually along with the transfer belt and feed rollers as part of a maintenance kit. The error code 010-351 indicates that the fuser has reached 75,000 pages and as a result has 25% life or less remaining.
A fuser unit is a pair of heated rollers within the printer that fuses the toner onto the paper being printed on. Toner particles are pulled to the paper to create the desired text and images as the paper passes the imaging drum.
Printing made easy with an HP Fuser Kit
It lets you print up to 150,000 pages of dynamic quality before you need to replace it.
The Fuser operates in the temperature range of 175 – 215o C (347-419o F). Temperature will vary depending on the type of media selected.

Consumables (and mechanical parts) are the things you need to replace during the life of the printer, and can include: Toner cartridges. Ink cartridges. Printer fuser units.
The fuser melts the toner particles, binding them to the page. The speed at which the paper passes through the fuser is what keeps the paper itself from burning.

Printer hangs in Processing Job
ANSWER : The last thing I would blame is the fuser. The 610N was a problematic card. I usually try the Oven baking on those first. Baking lasts about a year and then you do it again. Never had any problems with the 620N series.
