Printing A Windows Test Page Using Windows 11 / Windows 10

Touch and hold or right-click your printer. Touch or click Printer Properties. NOTE: Be sure to select Printer Properties and not Properties, or you will not see a Print Test Page button. Under the General tab, Touch or click Print Test Page.

Test pages often include text, graphics, and images that, when printed, aim to maintain the health of your printer (and cartridges) while highlighting any issues that your printer may be having.
Primary causes include grime, dust, worn rollers, or incorrect paper weight.
Install HP Smart app to complete setup and support

Create an HP account and register your printer. Connect your printer to Wi-Fi, load paper, and install cartridges.

The average lifespan of a printer is around 3-5 years. With proper upkeep and maintenance, some printers can last longer, but eventually your machine will need an upgrade.
Will My Printer Work With Windows 11 ? Yes, your printer should work with no issues at all. According to Microsoft, Windows 11 is based on the solid foundations of Windows 10 software, so your current printer(s) should all work as normal.
To use your HP printer in Windows 10 with S Mode, install the HP Smart app (in English) from the Microsoft store. Once the app is installed and connected to your printer, you can print, scan and access features from HP Smart.
If your printer is compatible with Windows 10, download and run the Print and Scan Doctor to detect and fix isses. If problems persist, reinstall the latest HP printing software. Download and Install the latest HP printer software and driver.
In Windows 10, click Start, type Windows Update , and then select Windows Update Settings. Click Check for updates. If the Windows 11 update is available, Feature update to Windows 11 is displayed. Click Download and install.
Check the ink levels

Sometimes, the printer may not print black ink because it is low or empty. You can check the ink levels on the printer`s display, or by using the software that came with your printer. If the ink level is low, replace the cartridge or refill it according to the manufacturer`s instructions.

The shortcut key to print documents is Ctrl + P.
a way of discovering, by questions or practical activities, what someone knows, or what someone or something can do or … See more at test. format. noun [C or U]
Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.
Malfunctioning printers can also be taken care of at HP`s repair center by using HP`s repair and return offer. Service can be requested individually as required and supplemented by a 6-month warranty for repairs or a 12-month warranty for replacement parts.
At one point or another, printer owners will experience common printer repairs. These problems affect the productivity and quality of the documents you print. Luckily, these problems are fixable. Many of these repairs you can solve by changing the printer settings or using a guide from the user manual to fix.
Color Laser Printer or Black & White Laser Printer

As print quality goes down over time, this will be a reason to replace the color printer. We find a black and white printer can sometimes last 10 years or more and most color laser printers are replaced every 3 to 5 years.

What maintenance does a laser printer need? To keep your printer running at maximum capacity, you need to maintain its working parts. Dust and wipe it down regularly inside and out with a no-lint towel and rubbing alcohol. Turn off your printers regularly, especially when they aren`t in use for a long while.
If your printer is running low on ink, it may start printing blank pages. To check your ink levels, go to your printer`s control panel and select the Ink Levels option. Whenever the ink levels are low, replace the cartridges with new ones. You can also try shaking the cartridge gently to redistribute the ink.
Soak the Printhead

Fill a bowl with warm water (or a mixture of water and vinegar to clean the printhead) and place the printhead directly in it. Let it sit for five minutes or so. Pull the printhead out of the water and use a lint-free cloth or paper towel to remove the dried ink.

Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
In Windows, search for and open Add a printer or scanner . Click Add a printer or scanner, and then wait for Windows to locate available printers. If your printer is found, click it, and then click Add device to complete the driver installation.

HP Photosmart 8750 intermittent serv. stat. stuck
ANSWER : I had this error after the printer sat idle for many months. I thought it was the cartridge drive belt stretching, because it was extremely loose and wouldn’t move the carriage due to slippage. Then I noticed there was a gear belt tensioner to the right side that had some movement. Sure enough, when I shined a flashlight into the ink reservoir, there was a spring that had fallen down inside. Looking at the plastic belt tensioner, it looks as if the spring was held on by a plastic post that had broken off. This is most likely the cause of many of these errors, because the plastic break is very clean and not readily visible, (a design flaw in my opinion). Rather than trying to replace the part, I am going to try tapping a hole in the plastic and inserting a machine screw that can hold the tension spring in place. It also looks like the metal notch for the right hand loop of the spring, would not prevent the spring from slipping off at some point, so using a metal file to enlarge the notch may be necessary. If you’re lucky, your spring may have just popped off and is inside the ink reservoir. This may be one reason why the printer was discontinued so soon. One lousy five dollar part makes the whole printer worthless… I use this this printer primarily because it is easy to clean the heads by removing the carts, instead of having to disassemble the whole damn thing, as in ink tank designs. It makes beautiful 13×19 prints with better color accuracy than my Vivera 6 ink printer.

ANSWER : I have the same problem but it’s referred to the ink cartridge carrier. I discovered that there is a pressure wire that keeps the cartridge in place, mine it’s broken and cannot hold the cartrige. There are no spare parts to service it, and cannot find a service shop at my place. It seems that the wire holder also broke the back contacts that meet the cartridge contacts.
