sometimes the Hot Mess Roller gets a little squeaky, here`s what to do: 1) 🍓 use an oil of your choice (we like the Ice Queen Face Oil, grape seed oil spray, or avocado oil) 2) add a few drops or sprays of the oil to the hinges of the roller. 3) voilà!

Printer rollers are the small circular rubber pieces that help feed printer paper through your printer. Over time, they can accumulate dust from the paper and ink residue from printing double-sided pages. To clean your printer rollers, you`ll need to first locate them in your printer.

If the paper feed rollers are dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly. In this case, clean the paper feed rollers. Cleaning will wear out the paper feed rollers, so perform this only when necessary. Make sure that the power is turned on and remove any paper from the rear tray.
Always use a lithium- or silicone-based grease to lubricate your rollers. When applying the lubrication, you`ll want to have a cloth handy to wipe up any drips. You may also want to put down a drop cloth or tarp to protect the floor of your garage from grease stains.
The actual lubricant for a rolling bearing is oil, which can be a mineral oil, fully synthetic or a blend of the two. Different types of additives are added to these oils to influence the corrosion resistance properties and/or build layers that protect the metal surface under extreme conditions.
Use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol according to the manufacturer`s safety guidelines, as applicable. Wipe the roller with a lint-free cloth dipped in isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. After cleaning the roller, make sure that no lint or other material remains on the roller.

Multiple paper feed
ANSWER : Most likely the pickup roller solenoid is sticking. The way it works is the solenoid energizes, pulling down a metal plate that releases the pickup roller. There is some foam on the base to quiet the clicking sound. The foam deteriorates and the plate sticks to the gooey residue. This allows the pickup roller to continue to turn instead of stopping after one revolution when the plate springs back up. That results in multiple paper being fed. Solution is to find the solenoid, which is at the end of the pickup roller shaft. Remove the sticky foam and preferably replace it with some thin sticky backed felt. You can find it at a hardware store as it is used on the bottom of chair legs.
